The British billionaire would have, according to the BBC, made a more advantageous offer to the Glazer family than that of Qatar for the acquisition of the Red Devils.

According to the British press, Ineos boss Jim Ratcliffe is one step ahead of Qatar in the Manchester United takeover file.

The BBC announces that the offer made Friday by the British billionaire would be higher than that of Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani, cousin of the Emir of Qatar.

The president of the Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) would have offered the Glazer family around 5.7 billion euros to buy all the shares of the club.

Ratcliffe, he would offer a little less (6.65 billion) but this amount would concern only 69% of the shares, which would allow the Glazers to keep 31% of the club.

This formula could push the American owners to lean for the Ratcliffe file even if we know that the offer from Qatar included a repurchase of the debts of the club, of the order of 700 million euros.
