Doku the blaster
Providential man against Reims two weeks ago (3-0), Jérémy Doku did it again in front of his audience against Angers (4-2).
He killed the match almost single-handedly, with a volley from the right on a service from Amine Gouiri (54th, 3-2), then after a ball-to-foot festival in the heart of the Angevin defense (84th, 4-2 ).
The Belgian winger would not have needed it if Benjamin Bourigeaud, in the area, had converted his good work beforehand (40th).
Or if Arnaud Kalimuendo put on a size more after his good center at ground level (65th).
Elusive (9 dribbles, 7 successful), Doku avoided an embarrassing disappointment to the Rouge et Noir.
Nice picks up colors
It had been seven matches in L1 that the Aiglons, grounded, had not won.
On the lawn of even sicker Troyens (fifteen matches without a win before this Sunday), OGC Nice got back on track (0-1).
We would have spoken of a slap if Gauthier Gallon had not multiplied the prowess, on heads of Pablo Rosario (58th) and Ross Barkley (72nd), or if Terem Moffi had not spoiled a face-to-face (80th) .
Nice's victory took as long to take shape as it deserved.
The interest?
Find serenity at the club, 9th in the standings, which can no longer dream of Europe.
FLOPS
Troyes flows in silence
Angers is officially relegated, and Troyes is just waiting for the buffer.
ESTAC, 18th, is ten points behind Nantes, Strasbourg and Brest, knowing that Canaris and Finisteriens have one game less.
The problem for Troyes is that you have to win matches, and Patrick Kisnorbo's players failed in this task for the sixteenth time in a row against Nice (0-1).
And by far, because without a Gala Gallon, the score would not reflect the reality of ESTAC (9 shots, 6 on target) against the Aiglons (29 shots, 13 on target).
It was a match to be taken at home, because the next meeting on May 7, certainly still at home, will be against PSG.
Hountondji weighs down the SCO
It is without real gravity, because Angers no longer believed in maintaining.
It is nonetheless a big mistake by Cédric Hountondji, an experienced 29-year-old defender.
The SCO stood up to Rennes when, barely pressed by Benjamin Bourigeaud, the Angevin sought Paul Bernardoni in withdrawal.
40 meters from his goal, he sent a lobbed and framed pass that his goalkeeper, even while diving, could not deflect with his hand.
An improbable own goal (35th, 2-1) from which Angers were able to recover by equalizing five minutes later, before logically cracking in the second half (final score 4-2).
