All of Jordan Shua's assists this season (Sport1)
Beitar Jerusalem surely hoped to end this season in the top playoffs, but in its season full of storms there are several bright spots. One of them is Jordan Shua, who returned in a big way to the forefront of Israeli football. Last night (Saturday) he provided two more assists, this time against Sektia Ness Ziona, and he now has 16 assists this season in the league - one less than the record set by Gili Vermot in 2009/10. Shua has two games left to set his own record - three days after the semi-final of the State Cup against Maccabi Tel Aviv, Beitar Jerusalem will host Reina's sons.

"I'm a little angry with him because he passed me last week," said an amused Yossi Abouxis last night at the end of the game, when asked about his outstanding brewer.
"He is having a tremendous season, he realized that if he continues to falter he will finish his contract and he will not be in demand. Sometimes a player recovers late and it is better than not at all. He did it this season. He should be more involved in scoring, but for me a player who cooks every So much and he enjoys it - it's no less important than scoring. He knows he's always being scrutinized and he has to keep moving forward."
