Summary: Ironi Kiryat Shmona - Bnei Rayna 1:3 (Sport1)
On May 13, 2017, Haim Silves and Menachem Koretsky stood on the lines at the stadium in Netanya and guided their teams in the final round of the lower playoffs.
Sylves then coached Hapoel Raanana and Koretzky Hapoel Tel Aviv.
The game ended 1:1 and the Reds were relegated to the National League for only the second time in history and the first after 27 years (in retrospect even a victory was not enough for them).
Eddie Gottlieb was also there and even scored, and those who ran the show were the Nisanov brothers - at the beginning of their journey at the head of the club.
On May 13, 2023, Silves and Koretsky will return to the stadium in Netanya, again for the final round of the lower playoffs and the entire season.
This time Silves is coaching Hapoel Tel Aviv and Koretzky is on the lines of Hapoel Hadera.
Both are in danger of relegation, but Hadera is ahead of Hapoel Tel Aviv in the table and the team's momentum from the Khodorov complex is much negative.
Will Hapoel Tel Aviv again go down to Laumit on May 13, at the stadium in Netanya?
Hapoel Tel Aviv then faced a reduction of nine points and fought against the drop in Hapoel Ashkelon and Hapoel Kfar Saba.
One round before the end of the season, she hosted Ashkelon knowing that a win would raise her above the red line, but settled for a frustrating 0:0 that marked her way to the minor league.
Exactly 17 years after May 13, 2000, when she won the championship.
Also this time, Hapoel Tel Aviv will host in the 32nd and penultimate round a direct rival in the fight for survival: Kiryat Shmona - who dreams of stepping into the shoes of Hapoel Ashkelon and has a much better goal difference.
The date will again be May 6th and if Hapoel Tel Aviv does not beat Bnei Sakhnin tonight, it may once again enter the final round when it is below the red line.
Again the same scenario as in 2017.

So it ended in tears.
And this time? (Photo: Barney Ardov)
Hapoel Hadera joined the cauldron of the bottom, which for a very long time occupied a safe distance from the red line and is now ahead of it by only three points.
Hadera won only one game out of the last 10 and if we mentioned history - May 13 and the stadium in Netanya - then Koretsky was the coach who left Leumit at that time.
Hadera has two relatively comfortable games on paper, against Hapoel Haifa and Bnei Sakhnin who have already finished the season.
Tonight's victory over Hapoel Haifa will guarantee them the stay because in that case Hapoel Tel Aviv or Kiryat Shmona will not be able to pass it together.
A draw will leave her in the dangerous zone.
Bnei Rayna is in the best position among the four teams that are still struggling - partly because of the meeting between Hapoel Tel Aviv and Kiryat Shmona in which at least one of them will lose points.
Sharon Mimar's team has games against Beitar Jerusalem (immediately after the semi-finals of the State Cup) and Hapoel Haifa and it is possible that even one point will be enough for them.
Kiryat Shmona is still below the red line, but is in a momentum that some of its rivals can only envy.
Five consecutive games without a loss, nine consecutive games in which she scores and good ability at the right time.
If they win their two remaining games, it is very likely that they will stay in the league.
Last time Sylves took down Koretsky.
