For the 20th time in its history and the first since 2014, Real Madrid is the holder of the Copa del Rey.
The Blancos beat Osasuna tonight (Saturday) 1:2 at the La Cartuja stadium in Seville thanks to a brace from Rodrigo, and overcame an equalizer from Lucas Toro on the way to lifting their second title of the season, after the Club World Cup.
Unlike the eighth, quarter and a half finals in the cup, this time the European champion did not have to come back from behind to eliminate her opponent, but did complicate herself by not taking advantage of the wining situations she created in the first half.
Luckily for her, Rodrigo was sharp in front of goal.
Already after 107 seconds, he took advantage of a tremendous header from Vinicius who simply made names for Osasuna's defense, and in the second half, after Lucas Toro punished Real for the misses and temporarily leveled the score, Rodrigo was in the right place to score the second.
The Brazilian became the first Real Madrid player in the last 43 years to score a double in the Copa del Rey final, and as of tonight he is also the youngest scorer in the club's history in this capacity, at the age of 22 and 117 days.

24th minute: Vinicius again burned the left line and sent a cross, Rodrigo left with a wonderful touch to Benzema who kicked flat and Herrera saved Osasuna with a great save.
26th minute: Abeda went one on one with Courtois and finished with a nice chip, Carvajal kept away from the goal line and saved Real from an equaliser.

Minute 35: Vinicius again entered the box without difficulty, turned the ball with his right foot to the far corner and was a little lacking in accuracy to double the advantage.
58th minute: Goal, Osasuna equalized to 1:1!
The penalty for Real for the misses came when a ball that was cleared from the box reached the feet of Toro, who swung his right leg outside the box, and beat Courtois on the way to the equalizer.
62nd minute: Benzema charged from the left and found Valverde completely free in the box, but the Uruguayan who kicked from the air did not meet the ball well and sent it out.
