Closest to the plate: Turner's events illustrated the gap between Shahar and Barkat and Goldhar - voila! sport

2023-05-07T10:46:57.044Z

Instead of learning from Goldhar's behavior in the girls case, the owners of Maccabi Haifa and Hapoel Beer Sheva started a campaign of spin and intimidation that proved that nothing but the championship plate interests them

The commotion on the grass at the end of Hapoel Beer Sheva's match against Maccabi Haifa (Part 2) (Sport1)

According to the latest polls published in the media, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's popularity is at an unprecedented low.

The public's feeling that the Prime Minister has lost his power and is unable to lead the moves he would really like.

For many years, the Chairman of the Football Association has enjoyed the prestigious title: Prime Minister of the Football Government. If polls were conducted among football fans regarding the degree of popularity of Shino Zoaretz, like Netanyahu, he would have suffered a severe blow. The last week caused enormous damage to the institution of the Football Association, but not only .

The feeling of the fans (not only of Beer Sheva), but also of quite a few journalists and commentators is that Zoertz is afraid to enter into a conflict with the owners of the big clubs.

The extremists among them claim that Zoertz is simply afraid of Yankel'a Shahar.

and not only.

Like Netanyahu, Zoertz also cannot (nor is he able to) make the changes he wants in Israeli football.

Just as the prime minister depends on every finger of his coalition members, Zoertz depends on each of the group owners to pass decisions.

In a reformed country, the national interest prevails over personal interest.

Since we are no longer a normal country, Israeli football has also become a jungle.

Israeli football has become a prison camp.

Zoertz is held captive by the team owners in the management of the football association, the team owners are held captive by their fan base, and the players are held captive by the journalists who cover their team.

And the ability to make decisions independently when you are a prisoner is limited as you know.

very limited.

Until a few years ago, the media set the agenda for the decision makers in the groups.

The great power has passed to the fans.

It no longer matters how much money Shahar has, it doesn't really matter how much money Ali Barkat (Alona's husband) has, and it doesn't even matter what tycoon Shino Zoertz has become.

Bottom line, Zoertz works for the club owners, and they work for the fans.

And sometimes their behavior reminds me of the song by the pale tracker trio: 'We are working on them'.

Yes, we are being worked on with our eyes.

Only, unlike the song, here we know.

know and feel.

In all the festival of the absurd that has taken place here in the last few days, it can be said that everyone is guilty.

Yankel'a Shahar, Alona Barkat, and Shino Zoertz.

In the past, Shahar enjoyed the title: the gentleman of Israeli football.

Alona Barkat won the title: The Mami of Israeli football.

In the last week they both lost the flattering title they had won.

and better this way.

From the moment the riot ended in Turner, Shahar and Barkat proved that they did not see eye to eye.

Nothing but the self-interest of their group.

They (and their spokesmen) (not only the officials) tried to convince us, even before the disgrace of the court, that if they removed many players, not to mention lowering points, there would be no sporting value to the championship fight.

And everything was kosher in their eyes.

Shahar and Barkat have many rights in Israeli football, but also many responsibilities.

Both of them were expected to, unlike the others, also see the national interest.

But the two leading owners of Israeli football have decided that they want a championship, and everything else doesn't interest them.

is nothing.

The hatred and rivalry between the two clubs, it seems to me, got them over their heads.

This is already far beyond a sporting rivalry.

Don't be moved by Shahar and Barkat's joint condemnation.

A moment later, they removed the masks, activated the artillery, and directed the fire in one direction - the football association.

Their mobilized media was apparently not enough, and very senior journalists (not from the world of sports), received order 8 and mobilized immediately to convince us that there is a combine in the association and its judicial institutions.

The regular reporters covering Maccabi Haifa and Hapoel Be'er Sheva aligned themselves (how could they not) with the spirit of the commander, and completed the picture: there is no sporting value to the championship fight.

They are right.

From the moment an entire country saw the photos from the Turner Stadium in Be'er Sheva - from that moment the word sporty has disappeared from this season.

It seems that many in the media avoid criticizing Shahar and Barkat.

Even when they deserve criticism, it is done gently and carefully.

The two enjoy the honor of kings.

It's easy for everyone to pick apart Mitch Goldhar and use criticism against him in a scathing style.

What Shahar and Barkat did here last week deserves all condemnation and sharp criticism.

Shahar wanted to get through the game against Maccabi Tel Aviv and nothing else should prevent him from completing the task (championship), and Barakat made an effort to convince us that the institution of the association is rotten, and hinted that the decision makers are there on the side of Maccabi Haifa.

Barkat used the client's weapon from another world - the feeling of deprivation.

She broadcast to the whole world that Be'er Sheva is disadvantaged.

It looks great on days when rockets are fired from Gaza towards the south.

This feeling of deprivation caused her to use harsh words against the association, words that caused an uproar, not to mention the reaction of Shino Zoertz.

Let's make Alona Barkat and tens of thousands of Hapoel Be'er Sheva fans not feel deprived.

Let's prevent them from feeling that they are trying to prevent them from winning the championship.

Let's give Alona Barkat the championship plate.

Yaakov Shahar was also given the championship plate.

That way we will perhaps save more riots, gratuitous hatred, humiliation and insults.

Even so, there is no longer any sporting value to the championship fight.

At the same time that Barkat and Shahar receive the championship plate, you will give Goldhar a unique trophy.

One that has never been awarded - the Cup of Values and Morality (details below).

For years the many fans of Hapoel Be'er Sheva were frustrated.

They felt inferior.

They saw the teams from Jerusalem, Haifa and Tel Aviv, winning championships and cups, and playing in Europe, they felt miserable in front of the economic superiority of the big teams.

And here, thanks to Alona Barkat, those tens of thousands of fans were able to raise their heads and feel that they are equal to the big clubs.

The entire south felt elation in light of the team's tremendous success.

Barkat invested hundreds of millions of shekels in the team, it won three championships, twice in the State Cup, three times in the Champion of Champions, in the Toto Cup, and there were even successes in Europe.

The feeling was that their sense of deprivation had passed.

disappeared.

And this week, after years of being intoxicated by the amazing successes, the feeling of deprivation returned to them in full force.

And it was Barkat who caused it.

The way she chose to deal with the disgrace of the association's plaintiff and the court, returned Hapoel Beer Sheva to the dark ages.

Again the feelings of frustration, inferiority, poverty, and what not, returned to them.

For years, Aryeh Deri has been reminding the hundreds of thousands of Shas voters that they are poor and disadvantaged. The feeling of deprivation is part of the poison machine that politicians constantly sprinkle on us.

Alona Barkat disadvantaged?

The one who is married to one of the richest people in the country (an amazing man), the one who is married to the brother of one of the senior and richest ministers in Likud, the one who is considered the successor of Prime Minister Netanyahu?

Does she feel deprived?

I would recommend Mrs. Barkat to go to the archives and look at the publications about her since she became the owner of Hapoel Beer Sheva.

How the media (all) pampered her in a rare way, how she was presented as the first lady of Israeli football, how much respect she received, how many superlatives were showered on her, how many concessions she received from journalists and commentators (even the loud ones among them), and how many cover articles in the weekend magazines they gave her over the years.

Barkat feels deprived?

Lord have mercy.

Well, it could be that she is working on the same software as Netanyahu, Amsalem, Regev and the like.

Everyone is on top of the world and feels deprived.

was not quick to condemn.

Yaakov Shahar (Photo: Shlomi Gabai)

There is no dispute at all that the plaintiff of the association and the court failed in their conduct.

They also know they were wrong.

But Alona Barkat decided to break the dishes and burn down the club.

Just like the pale tracker sketch.

She wrote: "This is an execution. Lack of sportsmanship. Shame on you! How do you sleep at night?", Shino Zoertz preferred to hide under the title of the association's response, and Barakat received unprecedented fire: "The leader of wild incitement, the one who doesn't sleep is you."

A few hours after the mutual confrontation (between Barkat and Zoertz), the Maccabi Haifa fans decided to attack the chairman of the association and made him not sleep at night. Barkat lit a fire and kept silent, Shahar was not at all quick to condemn. He was busy preparing the team for the championship game against the rival A conversion from Tel Aviv. How nice that later he issued a condemnation notice.

For those who forgot (or don't know), Alona Barkat sat for many years in the management of the football association.

She also sits on the board of the leagues administration.

She is very active behind the scenes, she has a large part in quite a few appointments in the association, she invested a lot of effort in the past to convince Oren Hasson to become the chairman of the association. She even made an effort recently so that the president of the Supreme Court, retired judge Amnon Strashnov, would continue in his position and not retire

Did Mrs. Barkat take advantage of her power and position to change the association's outdated disciplinary regulations? Did Mrs. Barkat act to prevent "execution" by the decision makers in the association's judicial institutions? Barkat and Shahar (like all team owners) are interested in the association once every four years

.

From election to election. Both of them, like the other team owners, fight only for the interest of their team. Israeli football does not really interest them. They are only busy with their team.

Zoertz has many plans to improve Israeli football, but don't worry, Zoertz won't find any of them on his side if in his plans the big teams don't gain something from them.

Even if Zwartz tries to change, he can't.

He is their prisoner.

Just like the owners of the teams are held captive by their fans.

The owners of the big teams want to manage Israeli football.

According to the last week they also want to determine much more.

Israeli football does not interest her.

Alona Barkat (Photo: Maor Alxalsi)

Barkat and Shahar rushed after the riot in Turner to publish a joint statement of condemnation, but moments later the partnership fell apart.

The two clubs (courtesy of the media) started exchanging harsh accusations between them, they started chasing the boxer who started the fight, they fought to postpone the hearing in the court, and from that moment it was clear that the football aspect really did not interest them.

Shahar and Barakat are only interested in the championship fight.

Sports value?

Struggle with violence?

Appropriate and immediate punishment?

Forget about it.

It was Alona Barkat who should have held back.

The whole festival could have been prevented.

No threats, no shocking message, and no use of unreasonable force.

Barkat knows the regulations very well, she knows how things work.

Instead of all the show she did, filing a simple appeal to the Supreme Court would have changed the decision of the court.

And that's exactly what she did.

Barkat knows the job.

A few days before the game, she filed an appeal to the Supreme Court to cancel the Radius game against Maccabi Haifa.

Barkat knew that the plaintiff and the court were wrong, she knew (who doesn't) that the Supreme Court would change the decision.

But she shot in all directions.

Well, she felt deprived.

And not only her.

the entire south.

Suddenly, all those who had not seen the fields for years, wrapped themselves in the black cloak of the defenders, and demonstrated a developed imagination.

What is developed?

The talks, the messages, and the attempt to terrorize the judges of the association's courts, the attempt to paint a reality about the liquidation of accounts, about Shahar's influence on the judges and the head of the association, are part of the fairy tales they tried to sell us last week.

We note again that the plaintiff was wrong.

He acted amateurishly, so did the court.

And the football prime minister?

He hid behind the association's official response without Luna Barkat.

Precisely in such cases, Zoaretz should make his voice heard.

To speak, to respond to criticism, to give the public the real picture.

Zoertz sometimes hides, and he only reinforces the feeling that he is a prisoner (some say afraid) of the owners of the big teams.

Zoertz knows how to talk (which he wants), he knows how to (and likes) to take pictures (which he wants), it wouldn't hurt him sometimes to go against Barkat, Shahar and anyone who crosses the line of good taste.

Oren Hasson was not afraid of the owners of the big and powerful teams, he was not afraid of senior journalists, he waged bitter battles.

True, it cost him the impeachment in the elections.

But at least he went with his truth.

Zoertz has to prove to all of us that he is not afraid of anyone.

How lucky he didn't go to Alona's house to convince her to calm down.

No one told.

Goldhar (photo: Barney Ardov)

And back to Goldhar: if Israeli football was important to Shahar and Barkat, they would have acted immediately after the riot and punished the players.

We don't buy the stories that at the end of the season will come with a bill.

Goldhar did not wait for the end of the investigation of Omar Atzili and Dor Micah.

He did not wait for the end of the police investigation, nor did he wait for the final decision of the prosecutor's office.

Goldhar did not go against the girls, he did not criticize the police and the prosecutor's office.

He was silent.

As soon as he realized that the event had indeed taken place, he made a quick and necessary decision.

He gave up his two biggest stars on the team.

Contrary to the opinion of the fans, contrary to any professional interest of the club.

He knew the meaning, he assessed the professional damage, and he didn't tell anyone.

Neither do the fans.

Goldhar did exactly what any decent person should do.

With all due respect to Barak Becher (and there is a lot of respect), without Omar Atzili - Maccabi Haifa would not have won the last two championships.

Not last season, and not this season (she will win).

It can be estimated that if Atzili and Micah had stayed at Maccabi, Maccabi Haifa would not have won the championship.

Goldhar is not interested.

He doesn't regret either.

With all due respect to Barakat's criticism of the association (rightfully so), and with all the feelings of deprivation (in this case rightfully so), Barakat and Shahar should have learned from Goldhar.

They didn't have to wait for the disciplinary committee at the court, they didn't have to request a postponement of the hearing, they didn't have to start a campaign of spin and intimidation.

Speaking of lack of sportsmanship, the match between Maccabi Haifa and Maccabi Tel Aviv will be devoid of sporting value.

Also that of Hapoel Beer Sheva.

The very fact that those who participated in physical violence will be on the grass is an insult to the sporting value.

Barkat and Shahar had to immediately punish the players who took part in the violent event.

No need for a court hearing.

No need for a legal battle, everyone should have been suspended that night.

In the common sense message of Shahar and Barakat, they should have announced their immediate suspension.

Atzili's tremendous success in Haifa only increased the anger and frustration of the fans towards Goldhar.

They want a championship.

Nothing else interests them.

This is exactly what Shahar and Barkat want.

championship.

Nothing else interests them.
