Shahar and Barkat have many rights in Israeli football, but also many responsibilities.
Both of them were expected to, unlike the others, also see the national interest.
But the two leading owners of Israeli football have decided that they want a championship, and everything else doesn't interest them.

Don't be moved by Shahar and Barkat's joint condemnation.

Their mobilized media was apparently not enough, and very senior journalists (not from the world of sports), received order 8 and mobilized immediately to convince us that there is a combine in the association and its judicial institutions.
The regular reporters covering Maccabi Haifa and Hapoel Be'er Sheva aligned themselves (how could they not) with the spirit of the commander, and completed the picture: there is no sporting value to the championship fight.
They are right.
From the moment an entire country saw the photos from the Turner Stadium in Be'er Sheva - from that moment the word sporty has disappeared from this season.
It seems that many in the media avoid criticizing Shahar and Barkat.
Even when they deserve criticism, it is done gently and carefully.
The two enjoy the honor of kings.
It's easy for everyone to pick apart Mitch Goldhar and use criticism against him in a scathing style.
What Shahar and Barkat did here last week deserves all condemnation and sharp criticism.

Forget about it.
It was Alona Barkat who should have held back.
The whole festival could have been prevented.
No threats, no shocking message, and no use of unreasonable force.
Barkat knows the regulations very well, she knows how things work.
Instead of all the show she did, filing a simple appeal to the Supreme Court would have changed the decision of the court.
And that's exactly what she did.
Barkat knows the job.
A few days before the game, she filed an appeal to the Supreme Court to cancel the Radius game against Maccabi Haifa.
Barkat knew that the plaintiff and the court were wrong, she knew (who doesn't) that the Supreme Court would change the decision.
But she shot in all directions.
Well, she felt deprived.
And not only her.

Suddenly, all those who had not seen the fields for years, wrapped themselves in the black cloak of the defenders, and demonstrated a developed imagination.
What is developed?
The talks, the messages, and the attempt to terrorize the judges of the association's courts, the attempt to paint a reality about the liquidation of accounts, about Shahar's influence on the judges and the head of the association, are part of the fairy tales they tried to sell us last week.
We note again that the plaintiff was wrong.
He acted amateurishly, so did the court.
And the football prime minister?
He hid behind the association's official response without Luna Barkat.
Precisely in such cases, Zoaretz should make his voice heard.
To speak, to respond to criticism, to give the public the real picture.
Zoertz sometimes hides, and he only reinforces the feeling that he is a prisoner (some say afraid) of the owners of the big teams.
Zoertz knows how to talk (which he wants), he knows how to (and likes) to take pictures (which he wants), it wouldn't hurt him sometimes to go against Barkat, Shahar and anyone who crosses the line of good taste.
Oren Hasson was not afraid of the owners of the big and powerful teams, he was not afraid of senior journalists, he waged bitter battles.
True, it cost him the impeachment in the elections.
But at least he went with his truth.
Zoertz has to prove to all of us that he is not afraid of anyone.

And back to Goldhar: if Israeli football was important to Shahar and Barkat, they would have acted immediately after the riot and punished the players.
We don't buy the stories that at the end of the season will come with a bill.
Goldhar did not wait for the end of the investigation of Omar Atzili and Dor Micah.
He did not wait for the end of the police investigation, nor did he wait for the final decision of the prosecutor's office.
Goldhar did not go against the girls, he did not criticize the police and the prosecutor's office.
He was silent.
As soon as he realized that the event had indeed taken place, he made a quick and necessary decision.
He gave up his two biggest stars on the team.
Contrary to the opinion of the fans, contrary to any professional interest of the club.

Speaking of lack of sportsmanship, the match between Maccabi Haifa and Maccabi Tel Aviv will be devoid of sporting value.

The very fact that those who participated in physical violence will be on the grass is an insult to the sporting value.
Barkat and Shahar had to immediately punish the players who took part in the violent event.
No need for a court hearing.
No need for a legal battle, everyone should have been suspended that night.
In the common sense message of Shahar and Barakat, they should have announced their immediate suspension.
Atzili's tremendous success in Haifa only increased the anger and frustration of the fans towards Goldhar.
