Two weeks before the first match in the Mondialeto and a week before the departure for Argentina, the Israel under-20 national team squad was announced this evening (Sunday) ahead of the historic appearance in the World Championship.
As we wrote earlier, the great star Oskar Gloch, who led the youth team to the European Championship runners-up, did not receive the release from Red Bull Salzburg and will be absent from Ofir Haim's squad.
Idan Toklomati is suffering from a nagging groin injury and cannot play in two tournaments this summer, so he will be kept for the Junior Euros.
The leading striker will be Dor Turgeman, who despite the dispute with Maccabi Tel Aviv will join his friends, even if late.
Ran Binyamin, who started on Saturday in the Hapoel Tel Aviv lineup, was called up as Gloch's replacement in the midfield and the squad also included Hadar Fox, the Maccabi Petah Tikva defender who played throughout the promotion season to the Premier League.
Other players who were not part of the youth team's achievement and were invited this time are the wing players Anan Halaili and Hamza Shibli, who won the youth championship with Maccabi Haifa and Omer Senior from Hapoel Tel Aviv.
Noam Ben Harosh, the 18-year-old Hapoel Haifa defender, will be the youngest player in the squad.

Adi Yona from Beitar Jerusalem was not invited and will be at the disposal of his team in the cup final, unlike his friend Ili Madmon, the team captain who will go to Argentina. On the other hand, Ahmed Salman will not be with Maccabi Netanya in the final. Hapoel Tel Aviv leads with six representatives out of the 21 invited to the squad,
when Thai Abed from PSV Eindhoven is the only Legionnaire. Third goalkeeper Ofek Malika comes from Po'el Ra'anana and is the only representative from League A.

We are hungry to succeed, to sweep an entire country behind us and to prove that Israeli football has a promising future.
We will play in Argentina, but we will feel the push and the heat from Israel."

Israel surprised with second place in the European Under-19 Championship last summer and thanks to this unprecedented achievement, qualified for the Mondialeto for the first time ever.
She was drawn to Group C, where she will meet Senegal, Japan and Colombia.
