The moment in which the Anzing handball players slip away from this game and thus possibly also the relegation in the Bayernliga - this moment comes in the top game of the playdowns at TSV Lohr in the 50th minute.
Anzing – Up to this point, the Lions have led for long stretches, shown a formidable first half and have fought bravely ever since. But now this game is tipping over. Or more precisely: the people of Lohr forcibly bend it around in their hall, which has become a madhouse - through five goals in a row.

While the Anzingers were just in the lead with 21:20, a 21:25 now lights up on the scoreboard - thus the preliminary decision. A little later, a 24:27 (10:6) defeat is sealed, which is also deserved due to the final phase, as Hubert Müller, who coaches the SVA together with Kay Hoffmann, admits. "In the last ten minutes you noticed the hall, and a few decisions by the referees didn't work out for us either. Above all, however, the four professionals at Lohr have made the difference. They were just cooler and more ripped off."
After the defeat, Anzing is in third place in the table with 18:6 points behind Lohr (20:4) and Erlangen-Bruck (19:5) - at the same time the first relegation rank. With two games remaining, SVA can still hope to stay in the league, as the two rivals at the top still meet on the last matchday. And while the direct comparison of the SVA with Erlangen-Bruck speaks in favor of the Middle Franconia, the direct comparison with Lohr after the 34:31 success in the first leg is now balanced. This means that if Anzing and TSV are tied on points after the playdowns, even play-offs could be necessary.
Of course, the Lions could have spared themselves all these ifs and buts in the season finale – with a success in Lohr. And indeed, for a long time it looked as if the victory would go to the guests, who, after initial problems, had the game fully under control from the tenth minute. Thanks to a "super cover", Müller praises, Anzing leads 10:6 at the break.
In the second half, however, his team then dismantled, whereupon the game became a "punch and sting", the coach reports. Nevertheless, his Lions were able to defend their lead – not least thanks to Sebastian Erber, who netted four times between the 38th and 44th minutes – until 21:20 through Jonas Kiefel.
After that, however, the thread breaks with the guests, and the Lohr get the upper hand, before a 24:27 defeat for Anzing is recorded after the final siren.
