Recap: Maccabi Haifa vs Maccabi Tel Aviv 1:3 (Sport1)
Maccabi Haifa will increase its focus on next season in the coming days, and in light of the departure of Barak Bachar and his staff, the burning issue is, of course, the addition of a new coach. However, although no coach has yet been appointed, Haifa is also engaged in formulating the squad of players, with Gal Alberman, the professional director, continuing to deal with this all the time.
One of the most problematic positions for the Greens is the goalkeeper position. The Greens are in dire straits, so if Josh Cohen leaves, the team will have to add an Israeli goalkeeper. Because of this, Haifa has been searching for other goalkeepers for a year, with the most prominent name for the Greens being the name of England's Nathan Baxter.

Chelsea's Baxter is considered one of the most respected goalkeepers in the Championship, having played last season for Hull City on loan from Chelsea. In Haifa, they discovered that he had Jewish roots that would allow Baxter to be civilised. The goalkeeper was injured in January and has been absent for several months, but Haifa are monitoring his rehabilitation and will wait to see how the goalkeeper returns from the injury.
If they do understand that he is returning in good shape, the Greens will try to add him when Haifa's scouting system is convinced that he is a very high level goalkeeper for an Israeli team. The Greens, of course, would love Cohen to continue, but he is interested in finding a team in the first division in the United States and you in Haifa are looking for alternatives.

Another player who has come up in the scouting system as an option to strengthen the squad is left-back Jonathan Mulder, who plays in the second division in the Netherlands. The player has been offered and Haifa is indeed considering the possibility of adding him due to the fact that he will not be considered a foreigner. That move also depends on San Menachem and his pace of recovery. Mulder, who played for Israel's under-17 youth team, holds Israeli citizenship.
