Highlights: TSV Peiting have delivered convincing performances in their own hall. In the Bezirksliga Oberbayern they have thus ensured clear conditions. Peiting (10:0 points) can no longer be displaced from first place. Akashiro Brucker Land (7:3), TuS Töging and Eichstätt (4:4) are still fighting for second place. The final day of the competition will take place on June 24 at the DJK EichStätt.

Peiting – The performance in their own hall "was fun," said Felix Ditschek from the judo team of TSV Peiting. And that was not only due to the fact that the hosts clearly won their two district league duels and thus made the championship title perfect prematurely. One of the reasons for a good atmosphere was the decent number of spectators who had come to watch the fights.

TSV Peiting wins both duels at home

The fans of the home team saw a 14:6 victory in the top match against Akashiro Brucker Land and in comparison with KG Kösching-Ingolstadt. For the athletes, such a day with two encounters means a lot of work. After all, the one who reels off the full program will have four fights.

On the Peitinger side, five judokas managed to win their four encounters: Lucca Vent (up to 73 kilos), Tareq Jamal (up to 81 kilos), Philipp Braun (up to 90 kilos), Andreas Neureuther (up to 90 kilos) and Ditschek (over 90 kilos) were among them. Vent, Jamal and Neureuther were each once without an opponent and thus won without a fight. Marc Loges (over 90 kilos) and Roman Schmid (over 90 kilos), who both stepped on the mat once, as well as Pius Häuserer (over 90 kilos), who completed two fights, also remained undefeated in the triple hall on this day.

The young judoka in the Peitinger team, Leo Fabel, Basti Hickl and Julian Stein, "also showed committed fights again," Ditschek reported. Stein was in the lead in two duels, but was unable to defend it until the end of the fight. Fabel thrilled the spectators with a beautiful throw that gave him his third victory in the district league. He had won his first two fights at the start of the season against Münsing.

There is still a long way to go until the season finale. The final day of the competition will take place on June 24 at the DJK Eichstätt. The Peitinger have to go to the mat again - opponents are the hosts, who are in fourth place in the table. Peiting (10:0 points) can no longer be displaced from first place. Akashiro Brucker Land (7:3), TuS Töging (4:4) and Eichstätt (4:4) are still fighting for second place.

As champions, the Peitinger have the right to be promoted to the Landesliga. Among others, Nippon Passau, MTV Ingolstadt and the "Isarfighter" of TuS Holzkirchen are fighting there. It is not yet clear whether TSV Peiting will also make the promotion. "We still have to do some introspection," says Ditschek.
