End of an era. Barcelona officially announced on Wednesday that Sergio Busquets will not continue at the club for another season, effectively signing 18 consecutive seasons with the club.
"It was an honour and a source of pride that I was able to wear the Barcelona uniform but everything has an end," the midfielder told Barca's official website. "It was not an easy decision, but it's time to take it. Thank you to all the people who have accompanied me on this journey, as well as to my friends and fans."
Without a doubt, Busquets will forever be considered one of Barcelona's football legends. He played 718 games, scored 19 goals and his never-ending list of titles includes: 8 championships, 7 cups, 3 UEFA Champions Leagues, 7 Spanish Super Cups, 3 UEFA Super Cups and 3 Club World Cups.
