The New York Knicks stayed alive Wednesday night in the NBA playoffs, shrinking their Eastern Conference semifinals against Miami to 3-2 — just as Golden State is trying to do against the Lakers.

With her back against the wall, New York returned to Madison Square Garden and stayed alive in the playoffs. Game 6 will take place in Miami on Friday night through Saturday, and if Tom Thibodeau's players come out on top again, they will host the seventh and decisive game in the battle for a ticket to the Eastern Conference Finals.
The visitors actually started better, finishing the first quarter at 14:24, but in the second came the Knicks' explosion, which opened it with a 2-18 run, scored 36 points in the process and turned it around. In the third quarter they ran away for a 19-point lead, Jimmy Butler cut it to 103-101 with 2:30 to go, but no more.
Jalen Brunson did it all with 38 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists, playing all 48 minutes. Quentin Grimes didn't come off the bench for a second, either. R.J. Barrett added 26 points and Julius Randle 24. For the Heat, Butler was stopped for 19, Bam Adebayo added 18 and Duncan Robinson 17.
