VfB Hallbergmoos: Herculean task for promotion hopefuls FC Memmingen – Exciting Serbian newcomer

2023-05-11T14:47:26.284Z

Highlights: VfB Hallbergmoos still have three chances to avoid direct relegation in the Bayernliga Süd. After the 3-3 draw at the Kellerkracher in Rosenheim, VfB is still two points behind the penultimate team. Four players have now given their commitment – regardless of the league. Slavko Radovanovic, a Serb right-back, has already joined the team and may be able to play this season. Almost every club is looking for an attacking player who can reliably score double-digit goals.

VfB Hallbergmoos has to plan on two tracks: Four players have now given their commitment – regardless of the league. In terms of sport, VfB face a tough task in Memmingen.

Hallbergmoos – VfB Hallbergmoos still have three chances to avoid direct relegation in the Bayernliga Süd. Before the visit to FC Memmingen (Friday, 19.30 CET) it's difficult, but not impossible. After the 3-3 draw at the Kellerkracher in Rosenheim, the Hallbergmoos team is still two points behind the penultimate team.

VfB Hallbergmoos: Küttner, David, Luksch and Opitz remain independent of the league

Looking at the rest of the program, it is likely that the competitor will lose three more times. But even at VfB, the chances of success are rather low: Away they now play at second FC Memmingen, and in the last round at third TSV Kottern. The two teams are currently separated by two points – they are dueling for the promotion relegation place. If you lose to Hallbergmoos, you can probably write off the regional league. This leaves the home game against FC Gundelfingen, who are in secure midfield.

(By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

For VfB, this means having to think two-pronged when it comes to squad planning. In the case of goalkeeper David Hundertmark, who was signed during the week (we reported), it is already a great success that he would also go along with the path to the national league. Several players have also already confirmed their involvement in the current squad: David Küttner, Maurice David, David Lucksch and Carl Opitz recently reached agreements with David Küttner, Maurice David, David Lucksch and Carl Opitz. These four players would remain equally loyal to VfB in the event of relegation. With captain Andreas Kostorz, Andreas Giglberger and Martin Dinkel, there are currently only three departures who want to cut back or quit football.

VfB Hallbergmoos: Slavko Radovanovic arrives – search for a reliable goalscorer

A rather exciting new signing is Slavko Radovanovic, who has already joined the team and may be able to play this season. The 22-year-old right-back is a Serb who has already played three times for the U19 national team and has also made twelve appearances in the Serbian second division. "He's a good boy and he's just learning German," said sporting director Anselm Küchle. Basically, Radovanovic is a transfer for the coming season, although after a long period of inactivity he may already be able to play in the remaining league games and/or the relegation. Küchle is confident that he will be able to present further additions in the near future. His biggest challenge is finding an attacking player who can reliably score double-digit goals every year. But: Almost every club is looking for such a player.

But the present is the Herculean task in front of probably almost 1000 spectators at FC Memmingen. The runners-up have won six of the last eight duels and conceded only one goal in the last five matches. But that could have cost the Allgäu the chance of promotion, because it was the only goal of the day in the home encounter with FC Ismaning. VfB should take this as a blueprint: If the Brachtel team manages to keep a clean sheet for a long time, the opponent is likely to become increasingly nervous. BY NICO BAUER

List:

Dinkel – Opitz, Kostorz, Mömkes, Breuer – Beetz, Küttner, Lucksch, Werner – Diranko, Krause.
