The commotion on the grass at the end of Hapoel Be'er Sheva's match against Maccabi Haifa (Part 2) (Sport1)
Maccabi Haifa and Hapoel Be'er Sheva were deducted 3 points from the balance sheet on Thursday, the judges of the Football Association Tribunal decided Adv. Israel Shimoni, Adv. Noam Lyubin and Adv. Giora Landau at the end of a stormy discussion held on Wednesday following the violent brawl that broke out at the end of the league match between the teams.
The judges chose to be strict with the teams and the players involved, and agreed with almost all the demands of the prosecutor, Adv. Nir Reshef. This means that in addition to the actual deduction of points from the balance of the teams, with two rounds left to end the season and hence the penalty does not affect the championship fight between them at all, many players also suffered significant bans - most notably Bassam Za'arora from Maccabi Haifa who was banned from 15 games and Hapoel Be'er Sheva's foreign players Shafi Suleimanov and Adrian Paun who were banned from 12 and 5 games respectively.
Prosecutor's demands:
reduction of one to three points in practice for Hapoel Be'er Sheva and Maccabi Haifa
Exclusion of Bassam Za'arora from 15 games in practice Exclusion of Shafi Suleimanov from 12 games in practice Exclusion of Adrian Paone from 7 games in practice Exclusion of Shai Elias from 5 games in practice Exclusion of Mahmoud Jaber from 5 games in practice Exclusion of Eugene Ansah from 3 games in practice Exclusion of Ali Mohammed from 3 games in practice
Exclusion of Abdoulaye Seck from 3 games in practice
Exclusion of Avis Chibota from 3 games in practice Exclusion of San Menachem from 3 games in practice Exclusion of Miguel Vitor from 2 games in practice
Exclusion of Sagiv Yehezkel from one game on probation Exclusion of Franzi Piero from one game on probation
Maccabi Haifa player Yinon Eliyahu was not prosecuted for throwing the bottle that hit the security guard because a complaint was filed against him with the police, and therefore his case should not be heard at this stage in
the court.

Both teams also received hefty fines. Maccabi Haifa will pay 50,65 shekels, and Be'er Sheva <>,<> shekels. "It appears that the steps taken by Maccabi Haifa in its home and away games are not bearing fruit and its fans choose to continue their behavior," the court's decision said. On the racist chants of Hapoel Be'er Sheva fans, they wrote: "The ICC is doing everything in its power to fight this despicable phenomenon. Such calls will not be recognized anywhere, under any circumstances and in any society that calls itself a human society." Be'er Sheva was also given a one-year suspended point reduction sentence, which will be activated in the event of another conviction for racist chants.
