FC Bayern celebrates gala against Schalke 04: Salihamidzic is satisfied
The record champions swept over the Royal Blues 6-0 – and once again delivered a gala in the Allianz Arena after their recent rather poor performances.
Admittedly, the visitors from Gelsenkirchen made it easy for Bayern in the 90 minutes. But still, even such a game has not always been won so convincingly and confidently in the past. Therefore, the participants were more than satisfied after the end of the game. Even though shortly afterwards BVB followed suit against Gladbach (5-2) in the fight for the championship.

Thomas Müller and Joshua Kimmich open the scoring against Schalke
"We started right from the start, went at a high pace and created a lot of chances," said Hasan Salihamidzic after the end of the game in the mixed zone: "We were always one step faster, just as you have to do. Then come the spectators" and then gave an important reason: "If one or two goals are scored at the beginning, it's easier to play."
These first goals were scored against Schalke by Thomas Müller (21') and Joshua Kimmich (31', foul penalty). Especially for the veteran, about whom a lot has been written this week, it was important that he finally scored again after recent frequent bench places.
"It was better to create big chances today, it was a bit of a celebration today," Müller summed up in the catacombs of the Allianz Arena: "It was fun that way." Kimmich did not want to comment after the end of the game because he had to go home with his son. "He hasn't behaved lately, so I'm not going to say anything today," he said with a wink.

"That's how it was fun" – Müller happy about Bayern's win against Schalke
The two Bayern stars were in a good mood immediately after the final whistle and marched with the team towards the south corner to be celebrated by the fans. But a curious incident occurred there.
Müller and Kimmich cheered with the Bayern supporters, danced exuberantly and wanted to encourage the rest of the FCB stars to do the same. The only problem: Neither Matthijs de Ligt, nor Leon Goretzka nor Serge Gnabry – no other Bayern player wanted to dance along.

And so Müller and Kimmich briefly danced and celebrated alone with the fans, while the other stars only applauded a little in the background and thanked the supporters for their support. Before the two dancers even refrained from doing so.
In the end, the Bayern fans even wanted Müller to get on the fence ("Müller on the fence, Müller on the fence"). However, the 33-year-old could not be persuaded to do so after his first 90-minute appearance since the 1-1 draw against Hoffenheim. (smk)
