Ja Morant got into trouble Sunday night, and not for the first time this season. Two months after being suspended by Memphis for filming himself with a gun in a strip club, the Grizzlies star has once again been suspended from all team activities — for exactly the same reason: Footage from a live broadcast of "Starring" was bombarded on Instagram, in which he was once again seen carrying a gun in his hand.
The Grizzlies suspended Morant — but the NBA season is over, and it remains to be seen what punishment the league will impose on the point guard heading into next season. According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, "If it was indeed a gun in his hand, he faces a significant suspension early next season. Last time it was eight games, but in fact he was only suspended for two in practice. This time it will not be so. This time, he is expected to receive a very, very long suspension."
Wojnarowski went on to explain: "Adam Silver expected Morant's behavior to change, because that's a pattern of behavior ... It's important to have pressure from other teams in the league, because it's not only hurting Memphis, it's hurting the league itself. I don't think Adam Silver takes that lightly. This time there will be real consequences."
World Peace headquarters, which has experienced quite a few personal problems itself throughout his tumultuous career, has publicly endorsed Morant — in contrast to Kwame Brown, who went on the offensive against the point guard. "You like playing with guns, eh?" said the former first-round draft pick. "You give a stupid apology and then wave the gun live on Instagram again. You're a stupid kid. You're probably the stupidest son of a bitch in this whole league."

Brown added, "You have $231 million guaranteed and you're acting like some dumb criminal? You're allowed to have a gun, it's part of the Constitution, but why do you keep brandishing it like that? Your brain is screwed. You have $231 million and you're trying to act like a gang member? What is this idiocy? If you keep going like that, you'll be playing basketball in jail."
