Matthäus: "Müller would always play"
At Sky90, Matthäus Thomas Müller once again strengthened his back. He emphasized the enormous value of Thomas Müller at the record champions. This is not only of a sporting nature, but also an extremely high one due to the personality. "All Bayern players are happy when Thomas Müller is on the pitch because they feel safer," he explained.
"For me, Thomas Müller belongs in this team right from the start, not only because of his form, but also because of his personality," Matthäus told Sky90. In doing so, he once again fueled the much-discussed case about the time of use of the Bavarian veteran.

Criticism of Tuchel
Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel was also not spared from the criticism of the 62-year-old. With him, "Müller would always play," he shot in the direction of the new coach of the record champions. And he went even further.
For Matthäus, it was "almost inexplicable" that Tuchel would not rely on the 33-year-old attacker more often. Under Tuchel, Müller often only came off the bench and had to settle for the joker role. Most of the time, he only made late substitutions.
Müller returns to Schalke
In the 6-0 home win over relegation-threatened FC Schalke 04 at the weekend, Müller was back in the starting line-up. The 121-time international promptly scored the early lead for the record champions and underlined his value for Bayern.

With him, an important leader returned to the first eleven, which FC Bayern urgently needs according to Matthäus. Players like Joshua Kimmich, Serge Gnabry and Co. can't lead the team because they would be very "busy with themselves," he explained. (jari)
