For the second time in two weeks, Maccabi Haifa knows that a win is worth a third consecutive championship. The Greens host Maccabi Netanya tonight (Monday) knowing that three points will close things out, while either a draw (if Hapoel Be'er Sheva does not beat Maccabi Tel Aviv) or a loss (if Hapoel Be'er Sheva loses to Maccabi Tel Aviv) will suffice.
Barak Behar has had to deal with a missing squad, without the banned Ali Mohammed, Mavis Chibota and Abdoulaye Sek, a reminder of the penalties they received following the Turner incident, while Daniel Sundgren and Omar Atzili are serving suspension sentences for yellow cards. Therefore, the coach decided to switch to a three-brake formation, with Dolev Haziza placed on the right flank and Dean David and Franzi Piero opening in the flank. On the other hand, Netanya, hoping to surprise and move up to fourth place in the table, is missing its star player Patrick Twomassi, while Boris Eno, who is in danger of yellow cards for the cup final, was also left out. Other missing players for Ran Kozuch are the injured Liran Rotman and Ahmed Salman and Tomer Sarfati, who took off with the youth team for the World Cup.
