Maccabi Haifa is thinking ahead. The new champions, who have already begun building their plans for next season, have made a very interesting offer for French-Jewish midfielder and Lorraine captain Laurent Abergel, France reported on Tuesday.
According to a report on le10sport, the Greens have submitted an offer for the 30-year-old player, which he is currently considering. It added: "Maccabi Haifa's offer is an excellent sporting and economic opportunity. At the moment, the midfielder is awaiting Lorient's position on him before making a final decision."
Abergel experienced one of the best seasons of his career in the French First Division. He started his career at Marseille - where he played one season, then moved to Ajaccio and Nancy, before moving to Lorient in 2019. He has made 26 league appearances this season and is considered one of Lorient's key cogs in the season.
