The footballers of TSV Eching lose for the third time in a row. After a good opening phase, Julia John shocked the Zebras with a brace.
Eching – The Zebras were again unable to pick up any points at FC Langengeisling and lost for the third time in a row. Despite a strong second half, TSV Eching lost 1-2 (0-2).
At the beginning of the game, both teams were on an equal footing, and the visitors from Eching had numerous finishing opportunities, which FCL goalkeeper Celine Siebrecht was able to parry. "If one of them goes in, the game ends differently," said coach Jan Strehlow. But the rest of the first half clearly belonged to the hosts: Julia John was through after a long ball and slotted in with the inside to give the team a 1-0 lead (13th). Afterwards, the Langengeislinger women stayed on the trigger, and it was again John who made it 2-0 after a pass (36th). The Zebras simply did not manage to bring the opponent under control.

Strehlow: "We have to ask ourselves self-critically why this is the case"
In the second half, TSV threw everything forward in view of the two-goal deficit and upset the home team with their own high willingness to run. A corner from Echingen finally landed directly on the post - and Silvana Franke converted the rebound to make it 2-1 (73rd). After a hectic and competitive final phase, however, it remained a narrow success for the FCL footballers in the end.
"We've only won one of our last five games and lost the rest by one goal. We have to ask ourselves self-critically why this is the case," says Strehlow, who struggles with the lack of concentration in individual situations. Next Saturday (16 p.m.), his team will host league leaders RW Überacker. "We're the underdogs there, but it's still time to score again," said the coach. BY FRANZISKA KUGLER
