Recap: Maccabi Tel Aviv - Hapoel Be'er Sheva 0:3 (Sport 1)
Maccabi Tel Aviv said goodbye yesterday (Tuesday) to its CEO Sharon Tamam, who is leaving after many years in which she held various positions until she took the senior chair of the club's CEO. The owner's representative, Jack Angelidis, and the CEO who replaces her, Ben Mansford, are not in Israel and were absent from the event, which was attended by most of the players, professional staff and all administrative staff.
The club confirmed last night the publication here that the team will return to Spain this summer and hold its training camp in the country where Aitor Carranca originates. The Maccabi Tel Aviv coach was the one who requested that the camp take place in an environment that he and fitness coach Juan Torrijo know well.
Karanka was the one who built the camp schedule and he was also the one who insisted that the preparation for the next season take place in Spain. Maccabi Tel Aviv will take off for Madrid, train one day in the city, probably at Real Madrid's training grounds, and continue to another destination in the country.

In the summer of 2012, with the arrival of Jordi Cruyff, Oscar Garcia and Juan Torrijo, the camp was in La Manga, a four-and-a-half-hour drive from Madrid. This time, another destination closer to the Spanish capital was chosen.
The news that Karanka had chosen the location of the camp and was in charge of all the preparation became the main issue last night in Maccabi Tel Aviv's fan groups. Many expect Mitch Goldhar to replace the Basque and appoint another coach, but the Canadian owner has yet to have his say and next season will probably only be decided close to the end of the season this weekend. Karanka, for his part, has recently continued to claim, rightly so, that he is tired of dealing with the question of his future and that he is working on next season under the contract he has.
