Recap: Maccabi Tel Aviv - Hapoel Be'er Sheva 0:3 (Sport 1)
Maccabi Tel Aviv striker Jorja Jovanovic took off early Thursday evening for an early vacation in Serbia after being injured during the 0-3 win over Hapoel Be'er Sheva. The Serbian is not fit for the game against MS Ashdod on Saturday and finished the season slightly earlier than his teammates.
The Serbian arrived in Kiryat Shalom this morning, but only did a workout in the gym. He then went home, packed and left with his family before the end of the season. Jovanovic has a contract for next season, but Maccabi Tel Aviv are hoping to sell him in the summer after acquiring him for €1.9 million from Čukarički in January 2022.
The goal for the Yellows will be to sell him at a profit and they hope to succeed after a very successful season and a half with the team. During his time at Maccabi Tel Aviv, the 24-year-old Jovanovic was called up to Serbia's senior team for the first time and even made his debut in a 1-4 win over Slovenia in the Nations League.
Jovanovic has brilliant statistics at Maccabi Tel Aviv. He scored 32 goals and assisted 8 more in 62 appearances in all competitions. This season he has found the net 15 times in the league and 22 times overall.
