VfB Hallbergmoos can put pressure on TSV 1860 Rosenheim with a win against Gundelfingen. In the event of a bankruptcy, however, the latter could seal VfB's relegation.
Hallbergmoos – Two matchdays before the end of the season, VfB Hallbergmoos are still two points behind TSV 1860 Rosenheim, who are in the last relegation relegation zone. In the home duel with FC Gundelfingen (Friday, 19.30 CET), the chances of picking points are probably the greatest. Because in the last match, the current third TSV Kottern is waiting away.
Will VfB Hallbergmoos overtake TSV 1860 Rosenheim or will the latter have a match point on Saturday?
"The performances are right, but the results are not," says Hallbergmoos coach Florian Brachtel. He knows how to classify the narrow 0-1 defeat at second-placed FC Memmingen. Brachtel is convinced that Gundelfingen can be beaten with a similar performance. However, the coach does not expect anything to be given to VfB. Gundelfingen is in the secure midfield and plays virtually only for the golden pineapple. Most recently, the Gundelfingers have lost twice and won only one of the last six games. The air seems to be a little out at FCG, but if there are chances, the tenth in the table will certainly be happy to take the points.

Coach Florian Brachtel sees Friday's game as an advantage, because with a win you could put Rosenheim under pressure a day later. On the other hand, the penultimate could fix the relegation relegation place on their own if VfB does not win against Gundelfingen.
VfB Hallbergmoos have not won in their last 20 matches
During the week, centre-back Brandon Happi Monthe underwent surgery after breaking his ankle and there will be a long wait and rehabilitation period before he returns to the pitch. Carl Opitz could replace him in the centre of defence. Andreas Giglberger is back in the squad after recovering from injury, although an immediate start would probably come too soon. Florian Brachtel is also thinking about the possible relegation with up to four games and therefore does not want to risk anything. But in order to achieve this at all, VfB, who have been waiting for success for 20 games, must break this series of horrors.
This requires goals, but the coach is not too worried about them: "We have to do it as a team." Most recently in training and in recent matches, the form curve has been pointing upwards. Fabian Diranko, for example, who was unlucky in the end, would have deserved a goal because of his efforts. Between Diranko, Maurice David and Tobias Krause, the coach has the choice of which two players are allowed to start.
Simon Werner is also back against Gundelfingen and with a little run-up from midfield another goal option. In the last Bayernliga home game of the season, the VfB fans, who are as loyal as they are capable of suffering, will once again give their all. In view of the negative run and the sometimes frighteningly weak performances, the fans would have deserved to stay in the league in any case. BY NICO BAUER
