Highlights: BC Attaching needs one point from the last two games of the season to secure their place in the Bezirksliga Nord on their own. Attaching – BC Attaching needs one point from the last two games of the season to secure their place in the Bezirksliga Nord on their own. The BCA wants to get this on Sunday (15 p.m.) in the home game against FSV Pfaffenhofen, who have already been determined as champions, because otherwise the ultimate season finale at SV Untermenzing threatens in a week's time. Due to the constellation with the direct duel on the last matchday, nothing has been decided yet.

BC Attaching had "no chance" in the first leg against Pfaffenhofen

The Untermenzingers made sure of that last weekend with their last-minute equaliser against Schwabing. By scoring to make it 2-2, SVU kept its chance of staying in the league – and thus spoiled the party for the Attachingers. "That was a shame, of course. There wasn't much missing and we should have celebrated," said BCA coach Enes Mehmedovic. But he doesn't dwell on things he can't influence. The view is therefore in the direction of FSV Pfaffenhofen.

(By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

The leader has been confirmed as a promoted team since the last matchday. Mehmedovic wouldn't mind if the championship celebration cost the opponent a few percentage points. "Pfaffenhofen were the only team against whom we really had no chance against them, apart from Eichstätt, who were strengthened with Regionalliga players in the first leg," the coach recalled of the 0-5 defeat. But if FSV does not come close to its 100 percent, the Attachinger could remain unbeaten for the sixth time in a row.

BC Attaching has the best defense of the second half of the season

"We're in a good mood and believe in ourselves," said Mehmedovic. He can fall back on all players and does not have to rebuild his functioning team. After all, it is precisely in defence that automatisms take effect. Attaching is the best defensive team in the second half of the season with only eleven goals conceded in 13 games, with only Kammerberg and Pfaffenhofen conceding fewer goals over the season.

The fact that the BCA can also annoy the top teams has been proven this season with the two wins to nil against second-placed Feldmoching (2-0 away, 3-0 at home). "We have done Pfaffenhofen a favor. Maybe they'll return the favor on Sunday," joked Mehmedovic, who is absolutely convinced of his team. "We're in a good mood and want to get the point we need on Sunday." BY MORITZ STALTER
