Member of the Judo Club Soumoulou, the Tricolore became vice-world champion in the -48 kg category, in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) last November. The small town of Pyrénées-Atlantiques also wanted to pay tribute to its triple champion of France, who also taught in the local club.
