Munich – SV Waldhof Mannheim is the last league rival to present itself at Giesing's heights this season. The home game of the Lions against the Electoral Palatinate is also the meeting of two disappointed players. Both clubs wanted to be promoted to the 2nd division this summer. After the Blues had to put this dream aside at the beginning of the year, the Waldhof has also finally said goodbye to the promotion race with three defeats from the last four games.
For coach Maurizio Jacobacci's team, which has recently been on a slight upswing, it is also about breaking a negative series against Mannheim. Before the 1-3 defeat in January, Sechzig also lost the two matches last season with 0-3 and 1-3. Overall, however, the Lions are still ahead with eleven wins, seven draws and nine defeats in a direct comparison.

The game on the bridge day will also be a full farewell. Lions captain Stefan Lex will play at the Grünwalder Stadion for the last time, ending his career at the end of the season. Marcel Bär and Marius Willsch will also leave the club. In the case of loan player Raphael Holzhauser, too, everything points to a departure. The future is more open for Yannick Deichmann and Marius Wörl, who may be looking for new challenges.
Investor Hasan Ismaik, who continues to dream openly of the Bundesliga and blamed the unsatisfactory course of the season on managing directors Günther Gorenzel (Sport) and Marc-Nicolai Pfeifer (Finance) in particular, made headlines during the week.
