Highlights: Leipzig stunned the lead on the eve of the match with 1-3 and secured its place in the championship. This means that if Dortmund win their remaining two games, they will strip the eternal champions of their title. The 33rd and penultimate round of the Bundesliga began on Friday night with Freiburg's impressive victory over Wolfsburg, but today will be the most important game in which Bayern Munich must beat strong Leipzig to avoid allowing Dortmund to overtake them at the top. Even before that, Hoffenheim had beaten Union Berlin 2-4 and ensured their stay in a game in which Dabur came on as a substitute and registered a goal and an assist. The one officially relegated to the second division is Hertha Berlin, who suffered a 90:4 win against Bochum in the 1+1th minute.

Hoffenheim vs Union Berlin 2:4

Just four years after being promoted to the first division, Union Berlin could almost secure the fourth place worth the Champions League. But after Freiburg's win yesterday and Union's stumble today, the two are now tied with 59 points with one match left to finish the season. But with all due respect to Unión, Hoffenheim came into this game knowing that a win might guarantee them staying and that's exactly what happened. Mons Dabur sat on the bench and watched his substitute Bebo make it 0-1 in the 22nd minute. Andrej Kramaric doubled with a penalty (36), but Danilo Duki levelled in extra time of the first half. Dabur came on in the 65th minute and in extra time recorded a great assist with a personal effort from the left leaving Kramaric in front of an empty goal to make it 1-3 in the 90th minute.

Isa Laidoni levelled deep in extra time but Mons Dabur sealed the final score with a ninth-minute goal in extra time on a deadly burst. It was the sixth league goal for Dabur, who is having his best season in Germany in terms of goals. It was also Dabur's 160th goal as a legionnaire in all competitions. Hoffenheim, who were ranked last only two months ago, can come into the final round calm while Union must beat Werder Bremen to qualify for the Champions League.

Hertha Berlin vs Bochum 1:1

Hertha Berlin came into this game in shocking form after five defeats in six matches and from the depths of last place, but knew that a win would leave them with little chance of survival heading into the final round. Luka Tozar scored in the 63rd minute to keep Hertha alive, but in the fourth minute of extra time (!) Kwon Schlotterbeck, Nico's brother from Dortmund, scored with a header from a corner to relegate Hertha after a decade to the second division. This point was crucial for Bochum, who will ensure their stay if they beat powerful Leverkusen in the final round.

Bayern Munich vs RB Leipzig 3:1

Bayern Munich had not lost a single home game until this game and hoped to finish the entire season with a clean sheet and not only for statistics, but mainly to secure first place for the decisive round. But Leipzig, who are fighting for a Champions League spot, stunned the Bavarians, who are now independent of themselves and will lose the summit if Dortmund win their away game against Augsburg tomorrow. It started well for Bayern, who took an early lead from a Serge Gnabry goal, who blasted in and out after an assist from Müller (25). But in the 65th minute came Leipzig's first nail, which found the equaliser from Konrad Laimer's sharp kick.

Bayern attacked furiously, spending mostly horns but in the 75th minute Favre tripped a Leipzig player wide and Ankunku completed a turnaround with a stunning 1-2. In the 85th minute, Leipzig got another penalty, this time after Mazraoui's foul and although Nkunku scored from the white spot, this time Dominik Soboselai kicked and the result was similar. This victory also means a lot for Leipzig, who secured third place that sends them to the Champions League next season.
