17:36 p.m.: Union Berlin again with the connection, but that is probably no more than cosmetic results. In return, Dabbur puts the lid on it.

17:27 p.m.: Meanwhile, TSG Hoffenheim wins the game and is thus saved. The game against Schalke is over, the Gelsenkirchen hope for direct relegation.

Hertha BSC relegated: Schlottterbeck hits the heart of Berlin in injury time

17:24 p.m.: Goal for Bochum! And now all the dams are breaking here. After a corner kick, Keven Schlotterbeck heaves the ball into the goal from five yards. Hertha BSC was relegated. The guest block is cooking.

17:18 p.m.: The post keeps Hertha in the league. The Bochum corner is cleared, Schlotterbeck gets the second ball and pulls off from the edge of the sixteen. The ball is deflected and lands at the left post. Huge Dusel for the Berliners. A little later, Ejuke hits the post on the other side. Drama in the basement of the table.

17:14 p.m.: The Schalke Arena is boiling, S04 is compensating! Matriciani follows up after losing the ball. Mohr brings the ball from the left wing into the centre, where Polter scores to equalise. Schalke jumps to 15th place for the moment.

17:08 p.m.: Wild excursion by Bochum goalkeeper Riemannn, who wants to intercept Lukebakio on the right wing, but comes much too late. In the end, the Bochum defenders were able to stop the Herthaner.

My Area

17:03 p.m.: Werder Bremen equalised, and that was deserved. Duksch extended a cross with a header, the ball comes as an arc lamp to the far post. FC keeper Schwäbe can't get out, Schmid takes advantage of it and equalizes.

16:54 p.m.: Actually, Bochum was more on the trigger, but now Hertha is suddenly leading! Corner Berlin by Richter, Tousart rises highest in the duel with Hofmann and nods in. New hope for Hertha.

16:49 p.m.: But now it has happened! A Frankfurt corner seems cleared, but Schalke defends sleepily. Touré brings the ball flat into the sixteen, Tuta nets. The VAR checks the goal, but it wasn't offside. As of now, Schalke would still be in the relegation zone, but only if Stuttgart does not score tomorrow.

16:44 p.m.: Schalke almost conceded the second goal. Buta crosses to Kolo Muani, but van den Berg just spies the ball off the foot of the Eintracht star. That was close!

16:38 p.m.: Almost the lead for Hertha! Richter with a very nasty thing for Riemann, who fists the ball over the VfL box. Despite everything, Hertha is currently staggering towards relegation. The Berliners desperately need a goal.

16.35 pm: It starts with Bremen, it goes on again!

16.20 pm: The game in Sinsheim is still ongoing, after pyro in the early stages and interruption due to injury, there is a whopping seven minutes of injury time here. In all other stadiums there is already a break. Nothing has been decided yet.

Union's follow-up goals:

16:19 p.m.: Union's follow-up goal! Trimmel's corner from the right, Doekhi shakes off Kramaric and nods in. The Köpenickers are back in the game.

16:06 p.m.: Penalty for Hoffenheim! Again, Leite is the unlucky guy after a duel with Baumgartner, according to the TV pictures Schiri Dingert decides on a penalty. A tough decision to point to the point here. Kramaric cares very little and nets confidently. At the same time, Cologne scored with a header by Thielmann to take the lead. This means that Werder Bremen could suddenly slip back into the bottom.

16:01 p.m.: Two dangerous Bochum advances in a row are cleared by Hertha's defence with difficulty. The visitors from the Ruhr area are pushing for the lead before the break.

15:53 p.m.: The first goal was also scored in Hoffenheim. Huge buck from Union defender Leite, who completely misses a back pass to keeper Rönnow. Bebou grabs the ball and nets. The important leadership for TSG on the way to relegation.

Huge blunder by Schwolow: Schalke concede equaliser after lightning start

15:51 p.m.: Now it's all happening in the basement in one fell swoop! After a pass to Lukebakio, he is free, runs towards Bochum keeper Riemann and shoots in. But referee Felix Brych does not recognize the goal after VAR intervention, Jovetic had drawn Ordets in violation of the rules when Bochum was created. Meanwhile, there was also a goal at Schalke, but it counts: Kamada tries it on the edge of the sixteen, Schwolow lets the ball slip through. A huge mistake by the Schalke keeper! Frankfurt is compensating.

15:46 p.m.: Again a dangerous Schalke standard. Again Zalazar leads, this time from the right half-field. Jenz heads just to the top right of the goal. Schalke remain on the ball and are determined to win their last home game of the season.

15:36 p.m.: Huge chance for Bochum, Philipp Hofmann heads a free-standing shot past the Berlin box by a hair's breadth. By the way, with the current score and with the result on Schalke, Hertha would have been relegated as of now.

Dream start for Schalke: Terodde scores after just 48 seconds

15:31 p.m.: That's not possible, lightning start for Schalke! The Royal Blues get a free kick from the half-field. Zalazar brings the ball into the sixteen and Terodde heads the ball into the left corner at the penalty spot. Dream start for Schalke after a few seconds, the arena trembles!

15.30 pm: "Day of Truth" in the Bundesliga. Crackling atmosphere in the stadiums, especially at Schalke and in Berlin's Olympic Stadium, the tension is palpable. Now it's getting serious – especially in the basement of the table. The ball is rolling on Matchday 33.

First reported on May 20, 2023, 14:30 p.m.: Munich – The 2022/2023 Bundesliga season is on the home stretch. For the second time in a row, not all matches will take place at the same time on Saturday at 33:15 CET on Matchday 30. Nevertheless, the starting position promises a lot of excitement. Especially in the relegation battle it could be dramatic. We tick the highlights in a live conference.

As usual, four matches will take place on Saturday from 15.30 CET. The first decisions could already be made here. An overview.

Race for the Champions League: Union must step up after Freiburg victory

RB Leipzig currently has the best prospects for the Champions League with 60 points. The Red Bulls are challenged in the top game at 18.30 CET at FC Bayern. SC Freiburg were able to reduce their deficit to one point with the three-pointer against VfL Wolfsburg on Friday evening, but are only in fifth place on goal difference.

After a strong season, Union Berlin are hoping for the first Champions League appearance in the club's history. With a win at relegation-threatened TSG Hoffenheim, the Köpenickers would be almost certain in the Champions League. The significantly better goal difference compared to SC Freiburg makes it possible. However, the final decision will not be made until matchday 34.

Who qualifies for the Europa League and Conference League depends on the outcome of the DFB-Pokal. The cup winner automatically qualifies for the Europa League. If Eintracht Frankfurt actually does not make it into the European business via the league, but wins the DFB Cup, then the SBU will continue to play internationally next year. The final decision on qualification for the European competition will not be made until after Matchday 34.

Relegation battle: Final for Hertha BSC – Schalke and Bochum under pressure

Hertha BSC are facing a real game of fate: the old lady must win at home against VfL Bochum and hope for help in order not to be relegated directly. Not even a draw would be enough for the relegation. As soon as Schalke and VfB Stuttgart win their games, not even three points are enough for Hertha to avert relegation.

Bundesliga conference today in the live ticker

For FC Schalke, direct relegation is at stake. Because as soon as TSG Hoffenheim (against Union) and VfL Bochum (at Hertha BSC) win their duels, the Royal Blues are sure to be in one of the last three places in the table.

So everything is set for an exciting 33rd matchday. You can read the highlights here in the live conference from 15.30 p.m. (vfi)
