Ulreich could replace FC Bayern's ill summer
In the winter, the Swiss was signed as a substitute for the injured Manuel Neuer. But now substitute Sven Ulreich could make his unexpected comeback. According to Bild and kicker information, Sommer had to take a break from training on Wednesday and Thursday. Gastrointestinal problems forced him to do so. The final training session on Friday (19 May) will now show whether Sommer will be ready for Leipzig.
Otherwise, Ulreich would return between the posts. The long-time Neuer backup was already allowed to play three times each in the Champions League and Bundesliga this season when Neuer was sidelined due to a shoulder injury. Ulreich also played in the first two rounds of the cup.

Goalscorer Gnabry paused due to load control
But Sommer is not the only absence in the Munich training week. Top scorer Serge Gnabry also reportedly had to take a break from Thursday's non-public training session. The reason is said to have been load control. The Germany international has scored four times in his last three games and has scored 13 Bundesliga goals this season.
Eric Maxim Chupo-Moting will certainly not be there against Leipzig. The striker has been absent since the beginning of April due to knee problems and is unlikely to return to the pitch this season. Thomas Müller, on the other hand, has been back on the training ground since Wednesday. Goretzka is also fit, but he is still threatened by the bench.
Bayern Munich have one point more than pursuers Dortmund
In the long-distance duel for the championship against Borussia Dortmund, Bayern have to present on Saturday. Dortmund will play at FC Augsburg on Sunday. Bayern currently have one point more to their name. If Dortmund wins, the decision will be postponed to the last matchday.

The last time there was excitement until the 34th round was in 2019. In the end, the Munich team under Niko Kovac were able to celebrate their seventh success in a row. In the past 20 years, it has only happened once that the runners-up were able to knock the league leaders off their throne on the last two matchdays. In 2006/2007, VfB Stuttgart overtook FC Schalke 04 on matchday 33 and were crowned champions. (jo/dpa)
