Marc Madiot can smile. The manager of Groupama-FDJ has two pink jerseys in his team. Bruno Armirail took over the Giro on Saturday. Romain Grégoire will definitely keep the costume of leader of the 2023 edition of the Four Days of Dunkirk.
The sixth stage, relatively flat between Avion and Dunkirk, presented little risk for the 20-year-old rider, who had taken at the end of the fifth stage, Saturday in Kassel, a lead of 13 seconds ahead of his closest pursuer, higher than the bonus awarded in case of stage victory.

It's a week of great firsts for one of the most promising Frenchmen in the peloton: on Wednesday, he won the first professional victory of his career by raising his arms at the end of the second stage, in Laon (Aisne).
Well placed overall after this day, he held up perfectly by taking tenth place in Thursday's time trial in Saint-Quentin, an exercise in which he had few references. Then, on Saturday, he dynamited the final of the queen stage, on the slopes of Mont-Cassel, to crack the other favorites including the leader Kasper Asgreen (Soudal - Quick-Step), and seize the pink jersey.

Born in 2003, Grégoire succeeds Philippe Gilbert, who began his professional career in Marc Madiot's team, then Fdjeux.com, in... 2003. The Frenchie beats General Asgreen and Cees Bol (Astana).
