Relegated FC Pipinsried lost the last home game of the Regionalliga season against Wacker Burghausen with 0:6 goals. Nevertheless, there are positive things to report.

Pipinsried – FC Pipinsried, who have already been relegated, lost their last home game of the Regionalliga season against SV Wacker Burghausen 0-6 on Saturday. After a stupid and more than justified red card for Pipinsried's Nickoy Ricter in the 45th minute, when the score was 0-0, the Pipinsrieders were totally beaten in the second half.

The match against Burghausen was the same as so many times before in the season for the Pipinsried core team. The game is open until the break, but after individual mistakes it goes completely down the drain. In the 45th minute, Nickoy Ricter simply shaved over his Burghausen opponent Dennis Schutz on the halfway line for no apparent reason. The logical consequence: red card. In doing so, Ricter had done his team a disservice, as his team was outnumbered for the entire second half.

In the 48th minute, FCP keeper Daniel Witetschek was able to fend off a foul penalty from Thomas Winkelbauer, but already after the ensuing corner after the downfall his run. In just five minutes, the visitors made it 50-54 thanks to a brace from Edin Hyseni (55th/3th) and a goal from Kenneth Sigl (0th). In the 62nd minute, Edin Hyseni scored his third goal to make it 4-0. Aboubacar Cisse sealed the deal with his brace (66th/71st). Due to the second half, the victory is okay, even at altitude.

"We wanted to say goodbye to our crowd in the last game, and we managed to do that for one half," said FCP's sporting director, Enver Maltas. "Then it went like so many times this season. But I can promise one thing: we're working hard to ensure that we have a powerful team in the Bayernliga next year. It's a lot of work, but it's worth it, I'm sure."

According to Burghausen coach Hannes Sigurdsson, he knows "that the Pipinsried team can kick well, as they proved last week after the 0-3 defeat in Heimstetten when they drew 3-3. I can compliment my team for playing like this in the second half against a depleted opponent."

The afternoon at the magnificent facility of FC Pipinsried still had something positive. The founder and long-time president of the club, Konny Höß, was appointed honorary chairman of FC Pipinsried by the new president Benny Rauch at half-time. "This should have happened much earlier. Konny, we just want to say thank you for what you've built here," Rauch said. Visibly moved, Höß accepted the certificate, which is attached to a plaque. The new honorary chairman did not miss the opportunity to say a few words to the audience. And with the microphone in his hand, Konny Höß blossomed again, he gave a speech that was reminiscent of many of his almost legendary speeches in the sports home or in the Lampl restaurant. Many spectators said that they had a lot of respect for the performance of the new honorary chairman.

It was also announced that midfielder Daniele Jelisic has extended his contract with FC Pipinsried and will continue to play for FCP next season.
