In the Bundesliga, the SBU was in fourth place at the end of the year and in the Champions League, the club reached the round of sixteen. In 2023 it doesn't work at all and in the summer the separation from Oliver Glasner follows. Nevertheless, Eintracht can reach European competition.

Unsatisfactory second half of the season – SBU squandered a good starting position
Eintracht Frankfurt's statistics in 2023 don't read very well. In 16 games, the team around captain Sebastian Rode scored 16 points and could only win three games. As a result, the good starting position of the first half of the season became obsolete.
Eintracht are currently in eighth place and have to face SC Freiburg on the last matchday. The sports club is still fighting for qualification for the Champions League and will give everything to move into the premier class for the first time in the club's history.

The cup victory leads Eintracht safely to Europe

The final against RB Leipzig is the only chance for Eintracht to qualify for the Europa League. If you win the final, the club gets a starting place for the Europa League. This competition is almost impossible to achieve via the league.
About the league, only the Conference League is possible
With two points behind VfL Wolfsburg, they are in eighth place in the table. In the event of RB Leipzig's cup victory, seventh place would mean participation in the Conference League. To do this, Wolfsburg would have to lose to Hertha, who have already been relegated, and Eintracht would have to win their game against Freiburg. In the event of a draw for Wolfsburg, only a win with a five-goal difference would make a difference.

Eintracht will only pass Leverkusen if the Werkself lose their game in Bochum and Eintracht make up six goals in comparison. Reaching the Europa League via the league is relatively unlikely due to the different scenarios.
