Investor Hasan Ismaik is expected in Munich on Wednesday evening. Meanwhile, some 1860 fans are calling for a protest against the Jordanian.
Munich – Brass band music, pyros and three beautiful goals in the 3-1 win against Mannheim. Behind the lions lies an emotional Friday evening. The melancholy of the departing professionals was mixed with the relief that the season with the failed promotion project will soon be over. Before that, there is one more game, on Saturday in Zwickau (13.30 CET). And then there is another appointment that could be at least emotional, if not heated: Hasan Ismaik's visit to a panel discussion on Wednesday evening at the cinema at Sendlinger Tor.
"Freedom for Sixty": Lion fans call for a demonstration against Ismaik
In Brunnenmiller, the magazine of the active fan scene, it is only a side note. "May 24 - 5:18 p.m. - Sendlinger Tor - Freedom for Sixty" is written in the appointment bar, framed in three exclamation marks. The six punctuation marks next to the slogan of freedom suggest that the investor is not only received by invited and selected guests in the cinema, but also by a broad protest community in front of the cinema.
It is not an event that is registered like a demo, but the call has now been shared so frequently on the net that a considerable gathering of people is to be expected. Conservative estimates put the figure at a few hundred fans who are critical of the investor. However, it can easily run into the thousands, which is likely to cause alarm among the authorities responsible for public order.

One person who supports the call is Benedikt Niedergünzl (40) from the "Creative for Sixty". Since the crash in 2017, the entrepreneur from Kirchanschöring has been committed to a self-determined 1860 and has designed the fan article slogan "We are the club" for the e.V.
"It should be disciplined": The Ismaik opponents are concerned with visibility
For Niedergünzl, it is clear that the city does not have to worry about safety. Internally, it had been communicated that there was "no attack surface"; rather, the anti-Ismaik package known from the West Curve is to be expected. Posters, flags, accompanied by "Giesinger Gassenhauer", as Niedergünzl calls the abusive song to the investor known as the sheikh song: "Ironic, funny, colorful, loud." He emphasizes it again: "It should be disciplined – not aggressive."
"The call goes right through the lion landscape (...). It is important for everyone to show the lender with the greatest unity how little support he enjoys at sixty."

The Ismaik opponents are concerned with visibility: "It is important that we set an example." The Upper Bavarian says: "I am under no illusion that this evening will change anything in Mr. Ismaik's mindset." In an interview with the magazine 11Freunde, Niedergünzl put it this way: "The call goes right through the lion landscape (...). It is important for everyone to show the lender with the greatest unity how little support he enjoys at sixty."

Niedergünzl also expects little from Ismaik's appearance in the cinema: "The average age at the event will exceed the beautiful number of sixty both on and in front of the stage. As in real life, many crave promises of success and simple solutions. Ismaik will present this to them: Champions League – and a new stadium with a lion zoo. He hasn't yet revealed how he plans to do that, but it doesn't seem to bother his supporters."
If he comes at all. Niedergünzl can well imagine "that the businessman will have to attend an important appointment in Weiß-der-Teufel-wo at short notice". Wouldn't be bad, he thinks: "Then we can do something else that evening." (ulk)
