Olympic champion Therese Johaug has become a mother, and together with rowing world champion Nils Jakob Hoff she had offspring.
Oslo - Until May 12, winter sports icon Therese Johaug still showed herself with a big belly on her Instagram profile. Despite the spherical impairment, the former top athlete was still quite active. In March 2022, the cross-country skier ended her career and surprised her fans with baby news in January 2023.
Winter sports heroine Johaug has become a mother - girl is also the daughter of world champion
Especially at the Olympic Games in Beijing, Johaug had once again achieved top performances in her career in the fall. In February 2022, the then newly fiancée had run to three Olympic gold medals. From the announcement of the engagement on New Year's Eve 2021 until the birth of the child, great things have happened in over 500 days, both athletically and privately.
Together with her Nils Jakob Hoff, the former athlete is now looking forward to spending time with her offspring. The child will probably also be raised in a sporty way. Hoff was once a top athlete and won the World Championships in the double sculls in rowing. The 34-year-old and the 38-year-old shared the baby news with a small finger photo of the newborns and thanked for the news: "Everyone involved is doing well". Johaug has already revealed the gender. The two kept the little girl's name to themselves.

Since the end of her career, Johaug has started several new projects. A book about her life has come out and she has worked as an expert on television. Now another long-term project follows with the offspring, which she will probably supervise most intensively. Johaug won six Olympic medals during her career and became world champion 14 times. In 2016, she was banned after a positive doping test, and Hoff was already at her side and stood by her.
On the other hand, there was cruel news for double Olympic champion Justyna Kowalczyk, who lost her husband in a terrible avalanche accident. A biathlete has surprisingly ended her career at the age of 25, but has now found her calling. (ank)
