Beitar Jerusalem returned on Tuesday evening to add titles to the trophy cabinet with its 8th win and first since 2009 in the State Cup after a 0-3 victory over Maccabi Netanya thanks to goals from Ion Nicolaescu, Fred Friday and Yarden Shua, who scored from the white spot in his outstanding game. The team from the capital thus secured its participation in the Conference League qualification next season by winning the title.

However, the final whistle of the game led to a huge outburst of joy from the fans, who did not respect President Herzog and shouted to him, "The people demand legal reform." After an hour's delay, when the president had already gone down to the pitch and wanted to hand out the trophy to Captain Krief, thousands of fans broke into the field again and the president was simply rescued by security forces on the scene.
Ofir Krief said of the fans' break-in: "We are waiting to hoist the trophy. It's an outburst of emotions. Hope it ends quickly and hopefully swing it. We don't need to clean up the mess. For some people, it's their job."
