Is one of the greatest careers ever on the way to an end? According to reports in the United States, LeBron James is considering retiring from basketball. After the 113-111 loss to Denver and elimination from the playoffs after a 4-0 sweep in the Western Conference Finals, James was asked about it through him and provided a vague answer.
"I have to think about whether I want to keep playing," he said, "I have to think about myself personally, how I continue in this career. I have a lot to think about." Yahoo reporter Chris Haynes reported that James is considering giving up the final year of his Lakers contract and hanging up his shoes after a 20-year career.

James is expected to earn $46.7 million next season and become a free agent next summer. James originally planned to continue playing after Bronny, his eldest son, was expected to join the NBA in 2024 — possibly even alongside him, depending on who drafted him.
James is considered the greatest NBA player of all time alongside Michael Jordan. He won four championships, four MVP titles, was named Finals MVP four times, and this season became the league's all-time leading scorer, surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. James holds a string of other historic records, such as the record for points in the playoffs. He also ranks fourth on the all-time assists chart.
This season, at age 4, LeBron averaged 38.28 points, 9.6 rebounds and 8.8 assists per game.
