While Barcelona continues to say goodbye to icons such as Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets and Gerard Pique, who has already retired, there is another legendary player of the club who is at the end of his career but does not intend to retire despite his advanced age. Andres Iniesta held a press conference on Thursday in which he tearfully announced that he was leaving his club Vissel Kobe after five years in Japan.
But despite celebrating his 39th birthday this month, the legendary midfielder announced that he would continue his career in "another destination". Iniesta, who loves the game so much, said: "I want to keep competing." On the decision to come to Japan, he said: "It's one of the best decisions I've ever made. I had very beautiful moments here and also very difficult moments like last season."

Iniesta was part of the team's 2019 Japan Cup win, but recently suffered a number of injuries that caused him to miss many games. Iniesta has played a total of 85 minutes this season, which began in early February, and his team is doing well without him and leads the table after 14 matches.
"I will try to finish my career as a footballer and on the pitch," Iniesta said, referring to the future, "I don't know where, I want to keep playing. I feel like I'm thwarted to keep doing it. We'll see what options I have." On a possible return to Barcelona: "As I have said many times, I would like to return to Barca at some point in my life, but there is still time for that. At the moment I mainly hope Xavi will continue to be the coach there for many years to come."
