The German national ice hockey team is in the World Cup semi-finals after a strong 3-1 victory against Switzerland. The live ticker to read.

Riga – The German national ice hockey team made a real comeback in the group stage of the current World Championship. After three narrow defeats at the start of the tournament – Germany lost to Sweden, Finland and the USA – the team of national coach Harold Kreis started a strong series.
After four victories in a row against Denmark, Austria, Hungary and France, the DEB players slipped to fourth place in the table and thus into the circle of quarter-finalists.

Now Switzerland is an opponent who hinted at his great potential in the preliminary round and also brought it onto the ice. With the exception of the defeat against Latvia in overtime on the last matchday, the Swiss have only won victories. In addition to narrow successes, such as the 3-2 victory over Canada, the Swiss were also in a goal-scoring mood, sweeping the Slovenians out of the arena in Riga with a 7-0 victory.
