Borussia Dortmund and FC Bayern Munich are fighting for the German championship. However, the original bowl comes to BVB.
Dortmund – On Saturday (27 May), the whole of Germany will be looking to Dortmund and Cologne, where Borussia Dortmund and FC Bayern Munich will play the decisive long-distance duel for the German championship. But in which stadium is the original championship trophy actually located, and where is there only a replica? Despite the short distance between the two venues, the DFL is of course not taking any risks and is handling the situation as in previous years, when the last matchday had to decide whether to win the German championship.

FC Bayern should only celebrate the championship with a copy of the trophy
The tense situation ahead of Matchday 34 of the Bundesliga can be felt at both Borussia Dortmund and FC Bayern Munich. While preparations for the championship celebration at Borsigplatz are already in full swing at BVB, it is even a little questionable whether Bayern and coach Thomas Tuchel would even be in a celebratory mood at a surprise success for FCB – the second part of the season was too disappointing and restless.
BVB, as the league leaders, can therefore also welcome the real championship trophy at Signal Iduna Park. Bayern Munich should only stretch a fake bowl into the Cologne sky if they win the German championship. This has already been confirmed by the DFL.

FC Bayern need help from Mainz 05
For Borussia Dortmund, everything is at stake in the match against FSV Mainz 05. With a two-point lead, but a significantly worse goal difference, only a win against the Rhinelanders would ensure that BVB wins the ninth German championship. It would be the first since 2012 and would break FC Bayern's winning streak of ten consecutive championships.
The German record champions had previously squandered a much better starting position in the 1-3 defeat against Leipzig. The Munich team must therefore hope for Mainz support and play with their best possible eleven in Cologne. (jsk)
