54th minute: Richard pulls off from the right position, but again Niederberger is alert. The keeper is one of the reasons for leading his team.

52nd minute: There was nothing dangerous to be seen from Germany for a long time. But then Stachowiak suddenly pops up in front of Mayer and hits the inside post! That would probably have been the decision.

51st minute: Ten minutes left on the clock. Will Germany make it to the semi-finals against the favoured Swiss?

50th minute: The big chance for Switzerland! JJ Moser missed after a pass from Corvi, the strong Niederberger had pounced on the puck.

47th minute: Now a good opportunity for Switzerland. Bertschy and Fiala each finish from close range, but there is no way around Niederberger in this situation.

46th minute: Switzerland's expected rebellion is still lacking. About fourteen minutes separate Germany from the semi-finals.

44th minute: The Swiss can't use their speed because Germany is doing good forechecking. Good initial phase of the circle team.

41st minute: Germany starts the last half outnumbered, but is complete again after a few seconds.

2nd third break: A varied third comes to an end. After 47 seconds, Switzerland scored the equalizer, but the Swiss could not capitalize on their superiority. Even a five-minute advantage including a match penalty against Moritz Seider could not be used. Shortly before the break, Germany scored a double strike through Peterka and Sturm, who scored two goals within a few seconds. Harold Kreis's team goes into the final third with a 3-1 lead.

Ice Hockey World Championship live today: German double strike shortly before the break

38th minute: First Switzerland has a huge opportunity, but Niederberger is on the spot! Then, all of a sudden, the German team arrives and scores out of nowhere. Kahun serves JJ Peterka, who outwits Mayer with a shot into the top left corner. Sttarke's thing by the Munich. 2:1 for Germany!

36th minute: The five minutes are over, the German selection is complete again.

31st minute: Germany wants to use the power play, Gawanke tries it from the left from distance and just misses the goal. But shortly afterwards, the somewhat over-motivated Seider proceeds with a perimeter check against his opponent Haas and concedes a large penalty. 28th minute: That's it for the majority, Switzerland is complete again. Apart from Wissmann's long-range shot, Germany could not do much. The Swiss put on a passionate performance, Harold Kreis's team must improve.

26th minute: The German team wants to take advantage of their superiority, but Switzerland defends well. After a long period of urgency, Wissmann comes to a conclusion, but it is not dangerous. Two minutes of power play remaining!

Instead, there is the first time penalty against Switzerland and thus the first majority for Harold Kreis's team.

9th minute: The first few minutes belong to the German team, who were rewarded with a goal. But watch out, Switzerland has already won against Canada and the Czech Republic after going 0-1 down.
