When you're a member of Dream Team, the unforgettable dream team from the 1992 Olympics, you probably own some valuable items, and now Karl Malone has discovered just how valuable they really are.
Malone, who was part of the legendary U.S. team at the 1992 Olympic Games, kept jerseys from the tournament worn by Larry Bird and Michael Jordan, among others, and put them up for auction. In total, a hotel sold 24 items - and received $5 million for them!

The most expensive item was a shirt worn by Michael Jordan during the semifinal victory over Lithuania 76:127, which Malone sold for $3,030,000. In addition, a shirt worn by Bird sold for $360,230 and a Charles Barkley jersey sold for $<>,<>.
Malone, it seems, was aware of the historic occasion he attended and the one-off team he was part of, because his shirt had a personal dedication from Jordan, which he asked for, that read: "For Carl, good luck."
He also sold shoes by David Robinson and Magic Johnson. The Dream Team was the first NBA star allowed to participate, and it brought together a long list of great players and is considered the best basketball team ever.
