After the personnel quake, is FC Bayern now threatened with a media mudslinging? Herbert Hainer at least disagrees with Oliver Kahn's statements.
Munich - "I was very surprised". With these words, FCB president Herbert Hainer commented on a tweet by Oliver Kahn on his dismissal on Sunday afternoon. In the posting, Kahn had wanted to present his version. According to Hainer, however, things went differently. After the personnel quake, FC Bayern is apparently also threatened with a media mud fight.
Hangover mood on Säbener Straße! On the one hand, certainly because of the championship celebration after the last-minute title, which once again relegated BVB to second place. Hainer also alluded to this celebration on Sunday by pointing out his stricken voice. On the other hand, even before the final whistle, the news leaked out that Hasan Salihamidzic and Oliver Kahn would have to vacate their posts at FC Bayern. But how exactly did this dismissal go?
FC Bayern in crisis mode: Hainer "surprised" by Kahn version
Hainer and Kahn delivered contrasting stories on Sunday.
According to Hainer, he and Uli Hoeneß had already spoken on the phone with Hasan Salihamidzic and Oliver Kahn on Thursday. "Also out of respect for these two deserving icons". The reaction was apparently different in the phone calls, because Hainer added with a slight smile: "It also worked very well with Hasan". In other words, Brazzo agreed to the intended amicable separation. He was then allowed to travel with the team to Cologne for the game.

The conversation with Kahn "unfortunately didn't go so well, it was very emotional," Hainer said. Accordingly, it was not possible to agree on the separation by mutual agreement. Subsequently, it was agreed that they wanted to make another phone call on Friday afternoon. This phone call also took place and was very calm and matter-of-fact, said the FCB president.
FCB boss Hainer on Kahn's dismissal: "Of course I couldn't go to Cologne"
Subsequently, an extraordinary meeting of the Supervisory Board was convened on Friday evening and the dismissal of Kahn was decided. "For this reason, of course, he couldn't go to Cologne on Saturday." Hainer also tried to clear up a side story, because Kahn had been called in sick by FCB for the Cologne game. According to the president, Kahn sent a text message and said he was in bed with a summer flu.

He spoke out on Sunday via Twitter and replied there in particular to an article in the Bild, in which it was speculated that Kahn had "freaked out" in his dismissal interview. "The claim that I freaked out when I was informed of the dismissal is definitely not true," Kahn clarified.
Kahn on Bayern's dismissal: "Wondered about actionism"
Then follows his version of the dismissal: "I received a call from Herbert Hainer on Friday, in which I was informed of the decision. It was a calm and matter-of-fact conversation." He had "only wondered about this actionism, why this decision was now brought forward". Hainer and Kahn are already apart here: According to Hainer, the first phone call took place on Thursday.
Kahn continued: "On Saturday morning I received the message that I could not go to the game. I also calmly accepted this decision."
In Kahn's version, there is no mention of great emotions that Hainer had addressed. In addition, the days on which the conversation took place are also apart. Hainer reacted to these differences, as described at the beginning, with the words: "I was very surprised". It can be continued.
In the meantime, however, Hainer also continued to create facts: He confirmed that Karl-Heinz Rummenigge would like to be brought back to the supervisory board.
