After Real Madrid's victory at Sevilla, the remaining nine games in the penultimate round of the Spanish league took place on Sunday. Barcelona bid farewell in style to the Camp Nou with a 0-3 win over Mallorca, but the real story was in the battle for fourth place and especially in the struggle for survival.

Barcelona - Mallorca 0:3
The champions' final game of the season at Camp Nou was particularly festive, with the player who stood out above all was the player who rarely starred this season - Ansu Fati. The losing winger was given a place in the line-up and scored in the first minute, and things became even easier for the hosts when Amath Andiyaya left Mallorca down to ten players in the 14th minute. Fati completed a pair in the 24th minute, Gavi closed the story with a great goal in the 70th minute.
During the match, the Catalans paid tribute to the two departers, Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets. Xavi replaced the two in the second half, with everyone at Camp Nou applauding them. On the less positive side, Alex Balde is injured and will be absent for six to seven weeks, which will not prevent him from being fit for the start of next season.

Atletico Madrid vs Real Sociedad 1:2
The Basques did succumb to Colchoneros who kept the runners-up fight alive, but secured a place in the Champions League thanks to Villarreal's loss to Rayo Vallecano. Antoine Griezmann scored against his first team in Spain in the 37th minute, Nahuel Molina doubled in the 73rd minute. Alexander Sorloth levelled in the 89th minute, and the visitors celebrated at the end of a return to the Champions League after ten years.

Valencia vs RCD Espanyol 2:2
An equaliser conceded by the Parrots in extra time dropped them back to the Premier League. The bats, on the other hand, have taken a step towards staying, but have not yet made a final promise. Diego López scored for the batsmen in the 38th minute but César Montes equalised two minutes later. Martin Braithwaite completed a turnover in the 50th minute, but three minutes into extra time Samuel Lino equalised and sent the Barcelona side into the second division.
Almeria - Valladolid 0:0
The hosts knew that a win would rescue them from the struggle for survival before the end, but they settled for a point against the team below the red line and their fate will not be decided until next week. The Purples will host Getafe in the final round, and a win over them would guarantee them a final stay.
Cadiz vs Celta Vigo 0:1
A critical win for the Yellows, which will almost certainly keep them in the top division for another season. Ranbam Sobrino scored the only goal in the 53rd minute in the direct bottom battle, and given that Cadiz will meet Elche in the final round, they can breathe a sigh of relief for the closing round. Celta, on the other hand, are very nervous heading into the final round, when they will host Bertzio with a point above the red line.
Getafe FC - Osasuna 1:2
The small Madrid team had already seen how embroiled in the struggles of the bottom until the last minute of the season when already in the second minute Chimi Avila scored with a header to put the visitors in the lead. Even before half-time, Juanmi Latassa (39) struck the hosts' precious equaliser, and in the 90th minute Jaime Mata converted and awarded three precious points that moved Getafe into 14th place and may have left his team another season in La Liga, ahead of a thrilling finale.
