International midfielder Kheira Hamraoui, at the end of her contract, said Sunday to leave "head high" Paris Saint-Germain, a club that has "abandoned" her and has "done everything" to make her leave after the turmoil related to her aggression, according to her.
«
Despite two years of infernal storm in a club that has abandoned me and has done everything to make me leave, I have been able to face this pressure on a daily basis, "wrote the 33-year-old player in a message on Twitter.
The former FC Barcelona player, who arrived in Paris in 2021, says she has "made a promise" to honor her contract to the end in the capital. "It is done with pride and courage. Today, I'm leaving with my head held high."
Part of the Parisian dressing room turned against Hamraoui after the violent attack she suffered in November 2021 during an ambush led by hooded individuals. Some players have criticized him for having directed investigators to Aminata Diallo, his teammate, witness of the scene.
Reputed to be close to Kadidiatou Diani and Marie-Antoinette Katoto, among others, Diallo was indicted in this case, suspected of being the sponsor of the attack.
After an altercation with another teammate, Hamraoui was removed from the professional squad for several months, before being reinstated at the beginning of the 2022-2023 season.
«
I want to thank the people at the club who have been kind to me over these two years, as well as my coaches who, despite the pressures inside and outside the club, still made me play. I think I was able to return their trust and support on the field," the player wrote.
In her message, Hamraoui reveals nothing about her future and the follow-up she intends to give to her career.
