The Israel Volleyball Association announced today (Sunday) the appointment of Itamar Stein as coach of the Israeli national team. Alex Shafranovich and Sean Feige will work as assistant coaches. The three will lead the team in the European Championships, which will be held for the first time this summer in Israel.

Coach Itamar Stein: "I am very happy to return to the national team, this time in a different position with great responsibility. Coaching the national team is a great honor and my dream from the moment I started coaching. I played for the Israeli national teams from the age of 14 until my retirement non-stop and I always felt a sense of pride and obligation to give everything to the national team. The challenges ahead are great, but I am impressed that we have a group of players who are not afraid of challenges and difficulties and are willing to give everything for the success of the national team. I'm excited and motivated."
