Talks have begun about extending contracts or signing new contracts, and some have already signed players for years to come. At the same time, professionals are already looking for candidates who will strengthen the roster, replacing some of the existing players, who will not stay for various reasons.

In the sign of continuity
Maccabi Tel Aviv has set itself the goal of maintaining continuity. Therefore, it will probably keep Oded Ketch on the sidelines, and because of this, it has also signed many of the players to long-term contracts, and it will do so with other players.
Last summer, the Yellows replaced all the foreign players, including some of the Israelis. As you can see in the attached table, this season the vast majority of the squad will remain, and minor changes will be made to upgrade and strengthen in specific positions. The club believes that the team bonded well during the season, and that minor reinforcements could give it the leap forward next season – reaching the Euroleague Final Four for the first time since 2014.

Not just customer retention
We still don't know how the playoffs will end for Hapoel Jerusalem, but we can already crown the 2022/23 season as successful for the team from the capital. They won the State Cup, finished second in the regular season in the league and reached the final of the Champions League. Most importantly, after difficult years, it gave the feeling that the team was back on track with a good roster that could continue in the years to come.
Along with the big money (how big is a question for another time), which is supposed to come in together with the new owners, the Reds face an interesting dilemma - continue with the existing squad that has brought successes and only make "cosmetic changes", or use the financial resources to strengthen in a more significant way.
It is possible that the way the season ends will also influence the decision, but as of now - it is believed that all the players, the new owner and the professionals who will lead the club in the coming years will remain, alongside them will be brought in quality reinforcement players who will significantly upgrade the squad.

Apart from the great talent of the players, one of the secrets of Hapoel Tel Aviv's success this season is continuity in the squad. Many of the players remained from the previous season, and they were joined by quality players such as Chinano Onuaku, Jordan McRae and others.
The table below shows that the Reds' management and professional staff expect a lot of work during the summer. Only three players are signed for next season, and the rest are terminating their contracts.
However, many players want to continue for another season, and the club believes that at least half of the squad will continue into 2023/24. Of course, the results in the coming weeks will also have an impact on decisions – both of the team and of the players themselves.

Upgrade works
Only a championship (a scenario that currently does not seem likely to materialize) can sweeten the disappointment of Hapoel Holon's season.
The early defeat in the cup, the even earlier elimination in Europe and the atmosphere of disappointment that prevailed at the Toto Arena during the season did not do the club any favors after a record year. Coach Guy Goodes has already announced that he will not continue and that he is headed for Europe, and a significant number of the players are also expected to leave.
The purple club intends to choose a new and suitable coach and sign several quality players in the summer, who will return the team to the positive path it was on until last season - in the hope that they will overcome all the managerial and financial issues around.
