Dietmar Hamann has sharply criticised the Bayern bosses after the dismissals of Oliver Kahn and Hasan Salihamidzic.
Munich - The former player and current TV pundit at the pay-TV channel Sky, Dietmar Hamann, has sharply criticized the bosses of FC Bayern Munich after the dismissals of Oliver Kahn and Hasan Salihamidzic. "This is absolutely disrespectful. If Oliver Kahn and Hasan Salihamidzic are accused of not behaving in a "Bayern-like" manner and the Kicker sports magazine writes that one minute after the end of the game, then I have to ask myself which people are responsible at FC Bayern," he said on Sky.

FC Bayern Munich: Hamann criticises bosses
"Oliver Kahn and Hasan Salihamidzic don't deserve that. You can think what you want about the work of the two, but these are two such deserving players and also officials. To put this information through a minute or five minutes after winning the German championship is simply unworthy. And if Bayern believe that things will get better when Kahn or Salihamidzic are gone, then they will also take a look around. Today's disrespect cannot be surpassed," Hamann continued.
He had "no understanding at all" for the process, said Hamann. "That's unworthy of FC Bayern. No matter who takes over at FC Bayern, they have to be careful not to divide or fall apart, because what they did today with this announcement is an impudence."

In recent days and weeks, there has already been speculation that Bayern Munich could part ways with Kahn or Salihamidzic at the end of the season. However, the fact that the decision was announced shortly after the end of the game and the winning of the championship title came as a surprise.
FC Bayern Munich: Hainer confirms layoffs
"It was incredibly important for us to announce it after the game because we always said we wanted to concentrate 100 per cent on the sport. As you can see, it worked. We have now told the team," said president Herbert Hainer after the victory over 1. FC Köln, which secured the club's eleventh championship in a row, confirming the dismissal of the duo.

Oliver Kahn was absent from Cologne and tweeted the reason after the final whistle: "Unbelievable! A big compliment and congratulations guys! I've always told you! Always give everything until the end and never give up. I am incredibly proud of you and this achievement! I would like to celebrate with you, but unfortunately I can't be with you today because I was forbidden to do so by the club." (smr
