Benfica's Championship Game: 0-3 win over Santa Clara (Sports1)
Sergio Rico fell off a horse while riding and is in critical condition in hospital, according to Spanish media reports. The Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper reportedly went riding his horse Sunday morning in the southern Spanish town of El Rocío but fell and sustained a serious head injury.
El Mira said doctors still don't know the severity of Rico's injury, but there is a real fear of brain damage. He was rushed to a hospital in Seville and underwent intubation, a familiar operation of inserting a plastic tube into the windpipe to ensure air passage.
The 29-year-old Rico was still on the bench yesterday as PSG drew 1-1 away to Strasbourg to secure the title.
