A fine thing was the cross-triathlon for children, which was organized by the Schongau Tri-Team. Post SV Weilheim was pleased with several top places.
Schongau - If you want to become a successful triathlete, you have to practice early. At the Schongau Children's Cross Triathlon, girls and boys have the opportunity to do so. Recently, the 18th edition of the competition took place – and the junior team of Post SV Weilheim impressed with good performances and top placings.

Kathleen Großfuss made a top debut. In her first triathlon ever, she immediately took a class victory. She won the class C with a total time of 11:45 minutes – 100 meters of swimming, 2.5 kilometers of cycling and 400 meters of running had to be completed. Another podium place went to Ella Fett, who finished third in the A class (200 meters swimming/5.5 kilometers cycling/1.4 kilometers running). Also competing in this class were debutant Johanna Hutter (23:30/7th place) and Amelie Haag (25:56/8th).
Elias Großfuss (20:01) was convincing in fourth place among the boys in the student B class. The ten and eleven-year-olds had to complete 150 meters of swimming, 5 kilometers of cycling and 1 kilometer of running. In Youth B (300 meters swimming/7 kilometers cycling/2 kilometers running) Marius Walchshöfer (27:43) took fourth place in the boys' category and Paula Haag (31:23) took fourth place in the girls' category.

Swimming took place in the "splash". After that there was a little break. According to the time intervals obtained during the swim, the children were sent on the bike course. The course led over tar and gravel and included an eight percent gradient. The running route led along the Lech. According to a statement, the mood was excellent; Post SV also praised the "great organization" on the part of the Schongau tri-team. In Erding (18 June) and at Lake Ammersee (18 July) there will be further competitions for young talent.
