Following Copenhagen's win in the Damnarek championship, Maccabi Haifa received not very happy news on Monday evening after the club realized that they would not be ranked in the second qualifying round of the Champions League.
Last season, the Greens started in Europe in the second round but this time they will have to start the season earlier after the pair of meetings in the first qualifying round was set for July 11-12 and the match a week later.

Should Haifa get past the first round, the Greens' possible opponents in the second round will be Copenhagen, Molde, Dinamo Zagreb, Ferencváros, Karabakh, Slovan Bratislava, Sheriff Tiraspol and Bata Borisov.
